Shopping Q from an Aussie

Hi

we will be in the USA in early December and I will be buying clothes and toys for our children for Christmas (which will be in the USA ).

BUT, being a savvy shopper I would like to know whether you have your sales before Christmas or after Christmas?

I am particularly looking for Lego, which I have been told is cheapest at Target, so will this generally be on sale somewhere sometime between the start of December and early January?

Also, any other shopping tips for an Aussie would be wonderful please. We found Ross last year and bought wonderful Carters pjs and Adidas golf shirts for DH there.

You can find all kinds of sales before christmas. You can pick up a Sunday newspaper from a gas station or grocery stores or the like for the ads. I am interested in buying stuff from your side. My friend is on vacation, coming here, but won't be seeing her this round. But she normally brings Tim Tam's YUM. Could you tell me the name of the maker of them? I want to buy some from Amazon for my cruise. Thank You. Hope you enjoy your stay over here.

The sales tend to be better after christmas, but the selection is much greater before christmas, so it depends on what you are looking for.

Most stores will have their weekly ads on-line that you can start checking and see what the prices are now.

Tim Tams are made by Arnotts. LOL. We always bring TimTams, Vegemite and Twisties over to the USA to give to random nice people we meet. I only buy the tiny Vegemite though as Americans tend to gag...

Besides the traditional Black Friday sales (day after Thanksgiving), the following Monday is known as Cyber Monday and a lot of sites have good deals on that day. Amazon usually has a lot of "lightning deals" that day, I know, and they usually have pretty good prices on Legos. Depending on when you arrive and where you're staying, you might be able to have items shipped to your hotel/condo/resort.
