Shopping on Drive Down?

We are driving down in August to spend 10 days at WDW. Leaving on a Friday with plans to check in on Monday.

DH wants to stop and shop at Grove City. I'm not overly inclined to stop for shopping and would rather choose nice places to stop for the night where we can do some touristy things.

My main concern is leaving the van, packed for disney, in the parking lots.

Is this just me being overly worried?

I also expect that we should unpack the van each night at the hotel.

Am I being worried for nothing?

Any advice or comments?

When we travel down south, we don't unpack the van. We generally pack a hotel bag with pj's, swimsuits and clothes for the next day. I do take things like DVD player, gameboys, etc out of the van for the night. We stay in NC or SC and never have a problem.

I also visit Grove city regularly and leave everything in the van. Although half the time my husband ends up sitting in it waiting for me :rolleyes1

Not sure how far away from Grove city you are but I agree it is nice to visit tourist attractions. Hotel rooms at Grove city always seem to be sold out.
I haven't shopped at the Orlando outlets in years but I girlfriend say things are cheaper in Florida.
