We are planning to rent a car for a few days to visit Universal for the first time as well as doing some shopping.

We are wondering what shopping areas you would recommend for a family. We have two DS that are into addidas, american eagle, and typical preteen stuff.

I would love to find a Birkenstock outlet as well as some nice clothing spots for DH and I. Thanks for any imput from people who generally don't move offsite.

Definitely go to the Prime Outlets that are right outside WDW.

It gets crowded, so go early or you will not find a parking spot, but the deals are worth it.

This past summer my niece and I hit the Coach Outlet, Adidas, Osh Kosh, the Disney warehouse, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo, Dooney, Reebok, and many others.

I purchased all the boys uniform jeans at Osh Kosh for $8 a pair.
Adidas had excellent deals also.

I normally dont like to shop while at WDW but Prime has such great deals, and they are so close to SSR that I really cannot resist, so I dont shop at home (much) and schedule a shopping day while we are WDW:wizard:

If you exit WDW at the Crosssroads shopping center, make a right, go under the freeway and make a left and you are there. It takes me about 10 min. from SSR.

I can second the Mall at Millenia. We always include a stop there during our Orlando trips. We're not into outlet malls.

Thanks all for the advise. Looking forward to getting there and checking things out.

Just to clarify the outlet by WDW is Premium Outlets, Prime Outlets are at the top of I Drive and used to be called Belz. We like PO a bit better than Prime, but Prime is not fully finished yet. Also Mall at Millenia is great and a few minutes up I4 from Universal, don't forget to collect your International discount card at Macy's for 11% off :)

Claire ;)
