Where is a good place to shop? Do they bargin with you like in St. Maarten? what are good items to look for there?

If I had to pick one shop to visit again, it would be Los Cinco Soles. I would skip all others just for this one. It is like a mexican marketplace with a little bit of everything. I have visited their website since I got home but the site doesn't do the store justice. It was the last store that we went to when we were in port because it was at the end of the street. It was great!

I'm interested in the website address too. I'm not much for "bargaining", I'd like to find a decent store with good prices and just go there. I've heard the store on the pier has really good prices.

Are there places to shop for souvenirs where you dock or do you need to take a Taxi to them?

In August we went to Chubakk(spelling) Park in the am and afternoon and passed a shopping area on the left, going, which looked like a lot of local vendors. After dinner we took a taxi and told the driver what we saw and he knew where to take us, I think it was $3.00 each. It was a fun place, if you like to haggle. It is the typical stuff, blankets dolls, and jewerly. But it is what we like, liked the straw market, shows you the culture of the area. If you want to go there it iin the direction left of the ship. I'm sure all the driver know it. There was also a nice mall across the street but was not as much of a name your own price type. Everything was well lighted, but not many people, we never felt like we were in any danger, not like St. Martin at night.
