Hi
We are making our first day at orlando a shopping day as we are not taking any clothes so we'll need to get plenty in. There are 5 in our family 2 adult 1 12yr and 2 10yr.Im'e panicking abit as ime used to going on holiday with everything plus the kitchen sink. We were considering going to the orlando premium outlets, will i be able to kit every one out there plus myself at resonable prices.
what are prices of clothes like, example trainers, t-shirts ,jeans sports wear.

Any information would be great thanks Marv

Hi, I live in Florida not far from Orlando. The outlets are probably a good choice all around. Prices for jeans and casual wear athletic clothes run around $20-30. I usually find good sales at the Bass outlet sometimes starting around $10, or maybe less if it is marked down a lot. Name brand athletic shoes start at about $25-30 at the outlets. Or, if you can find a Target store nearby they usually have nice clothes and shoes very reasonably priced.

Try Walmart on Sand Lake Road. Loads of stuff. Very cheap. The quality isn't bad either. If you prefer labels, then Premium Outlets would be my choice. Walmart also sell Disney and other character stuff, beach towels for example.

Oh, and if you take vitamins you won't believe the prices at Walmart. Some of the brands that you find in this country are a quarter the price.

old navy which is up near Belz is frighteningly cheap (jeans for $6 in the sale!) - plus the Gap outlet in Belz is the cheapest place for Gap I have ever found: returned one pair of $35 trousers i'd bought in california, got another pair of trousers, a hoody, a t-shirt, a pair of cords for my boyfriend and a pair of baby trousers for a friend's daughter for the money!

l think you should take a least a couple of days worth of clothes. Although there are bargins to be found especially for the kids womens clothing was not in abundance (well l found nothing) and l would be extremley nervous about not having any clothes to wear.

:)

Another vote for Old Navy but the one at Lake Buena Vista factory outlets are my favourites - you will get kewl stuff for the kids plus you as well. They also have a rebok shop and last year we got buy one pair or trainers, get one half price and get the third free :hyper:

It is not too far from Premium outlets so you could easily do both in one day.

hi
Thankyou for your replys. Ime not a person that usually shops for desighner name clothes, i usually like to hunt out bargains here in uk. If the price is right for the brand name then i will defenitly buy it. We will be taking 1 suitcase with as much clothes i can fit into it to see us over. We are staying in kissimmee, is there any where thier that i could find bargains. My plan is to get as much as i can in one shop, if thats possible. I don't like shopping for kids clothes to much as i have a very fussy 12 yr old so if i can find tshirts, jogg pants, casual stuff at bargain prices ill pick up a few maybe in different colours so i can get it done as quick as i can.

Thanks Marv

Hi, are you staying in a villa? I assume you are if you are in Kissimmee. You can't just 'pop to the shops' from Kissimmee - everywhere is at least a 20/30 min drive. The Florida Mall is good for shopping, but also visit Belz and even some Bargain World stores, located next to Ponderosa. I know you don't want to wash on holiday, but if you are staying in a villa then it's so easy because the washer and dryer are there and if you use the dryer, you don't really need to iron, although the villas do have them.

I hope you have a fantastic holiday, it's the best place on Earth.

Hi Marv

In that case you should go to Old Navy - they have loads of casual clothes (it is a bit like next but at a fraction of the cost) Got track suit bottoms for DS at about £3. They are good quality and wash well.

Another place for cheap clothes would be Wal-mart

Both are withing easy reach of Kissimee

Thanks again have some good information here. If some one could give me names of some cheap shops so ill no what to look out for that would be great. Where is old navy situated. Its usually tammys, peacocks, newlook, select that i would usually go to get for myself and the children i know they proberly wont do these shops, but any thing similar will be good. Also will looking for husband who is easily pleased and boy of ten so names of shops would be lots of help and would mean not waisting to much time running from shop to the next. you may be able to tell that shopping is not my favourite passtime, it's only good when i dont have certain things to get.

Thanks again Marv

Hi Marv

As you are not bothered about designer names, I would stock up on the bargains to be had in the UK before you go! Seriously, the type of general outlet stores you find in Orlando (excepting the actual designer stores) are actually not very good in my opinion. Like you, I was led to believe that there were fantastic bargains to be had in Orlando but the stock is usually not high fashion and not that great quality. I honestly think that you can get real bargains in our own Asda George range or Matalan!

I love 'Target' - not just for clothes but for everything!
They do great kids clothes and it is really cheap - they also do adults clothes and have a great range on shoes!

It's a good all rounder.

We always find bargains!!
And Walmart does actually stock George brand clothing at about one third less in price than the UK!!

Also, try the department stores (Burdines, JC Penny, Sears, Nordstrom) in the malls for sale and clearance clothes. I have usually got better bargains that way than in places like Belz.
Love Old Navy (once my teenage DD had persuaded me to look!) ,
Abercrombie & Fitch, Big Dog and a special plug for the discount Disney store at Premium Outlet mall (me love shopping?....nooo)
Have fun:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thanks for these shop names they will be lots of help, I think Walmart will be a place ill definatly go too. I love the george selection and the childrens clothes are great.

Thanks again marv
