Shopping .... Disney Outlets near DL?

Are there Disney Parks outlets/discount stores in the area? In Orlando there are a few Disney discount stores where they sell last season's park merchandise. They are owned and operated by Disney, so they take Disney gift cards and have great prices ... even on pins! The CM's in the stores also trade off their lanyards. Do they have these near Disneyland?

I know we shouldn't continually compare the 2 resorts, but when there's something that you really enjoy at one place, it's hard not to look for it at the other.

There are outlets! We had really good luck a few years back with some great merchandise- my DH got a DL long sleeve t-shirt for about $7! Here's the info on the one we go to!

and the in & out burger is right across the street LOL!

I don't remember if the people working there traded pins though; I do recall there being coupons though (but that was 4 years ago....).

Just a head's up since you are comparing them to the stores you are familiar with in FL, The Character Warehouses are not owned or operated by Disney so they do not take any Disney gift cards or Disney dollars. They do not give AP discounts either.

That said, they have lots and lots of Disney merchandise at great prices!

I have Disney Visa Rewards $$ and Disney gift cards to use which is wonderful - but since we are booking/staying at a hotel across the street, I can't use the $$ there .... and I was hoping to find park tickets at a better price - so I can't use the $$ there .... hmmm.

I know it is early (by DL standards anyway) to purchase park tickets yet - so here's to hoping for a January 2011 promotion for park tickets when you buy directly from DL - maybe a pay 3/get 5 days or a pay 4/get 6 days deal? Wait and see, I guess.

You can use those rewards and gift cards in the parks for food. Just a thought.
