Shopping at DTD???

What is the shopping like at DTD Is it mainly souveniers(sp) or do they have a good selection of clothing stores?Are they all Disney themed or are some certain brands???

There's two areas of shopping at Downtown Disney.

The Marketplace specializes in Disney merchandise. ANYTHING you want that deals with Disney is available in this end of Downtown Disney. There's a few other different stores as well - Arribas Brothers, Basin, Ghirardelli, Earl of Sandwich, and a Lego Store among a few others.

The West Side consists of non-Disney merchandise. There's a cigar store, a magnet shop, a Virgin megastore - among a few others.

If you're looking for something like the Gap, Banana Republic, or Express - you won't find it. Almost all of the clothing that I can think of is Disney themed, with the exception of shop-specific merchandise (House of Blues, Planet Hollywood, Cirque du Soleil....)

The "Summer Sands" store has some non-Disney clothing. This is a beach/Florida themed store.

As stated, if you are looking for main stream brands, like a mall would provide, DTD is not the place.

the west end really carries the nondisney stuff. there is one cool place at pleasure island that carries some fun clothing. i find that the resorts, esp. the GF and Yatch/beach carry great "summery" clohtes like lilly pulitzer and tommy bahama!
