ShopDisney, why?

Placed an order on ShopDisney yesterday and it wouldn't let me use a gift card and my Disney Visa Rewards card too. Had to go buy a gift card with my Rewards card and then placed the order.

Why did Disney do prohibit the use of both? Makes no sense.

I'm not claiming to know the answer, but speculating that some websites can't take multiple forms of payment, so that could be it...

This could have something to do with it. In my previous life, I was responsible for the software and the interface for credit card processing. We were not able to process a credit card and gift card in the same transaction. Just a (non)function of the software.

Seemed like you found a viable workaround so no harm, no foul.

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. I emailed them and they said it was a glitch on the Chase Disney credit side after they updated their system after Jan. 1. But that may have been an excuse for shop Disney
