Shooting Ranges near WDW

I've noticed in a couple of trip reports have mentioned people trying out shooting ranges in the area - am a bit intrigued.

Does anyone know what's involved and whether you have to have any previous experience? Fancy doing something different this time out there.

We can definitely recommend the highly impressive range at the US Police Hall of Fame at Titusville (right opposite the Astronaut Hall of Fame on the road to the Kennedy Space Center). They have a fully supervised double range there with all kinds of guns to try and some great people working there. The Police Hall of Fame is well worth touring, too. We didn't check the price of ammunition and targets, but the full admission/rental pricing is as follows:

Single Admission $12.00
After Work Special $10.00 Tuesday-Friday, 4:00 - 6:00 PM
Police/Military/Corrections $8.00
NACOP/AFP&CC Members $8.00
Second shooter on same lane $6.00

RENTAL FEES
Gun Rental $8.00 first gun,
$4.00 per subsequent gun
Eye Protection $1.00
Ear Protection $1.00
Ammuniton and targets available for purchase
