Shooting near Disney

The Orange County Sheriff's Office reported that one of its deputies was shot shortly after 11 a.m. at a resort near Walt Disney World.

A spokesperson confirmed that the deputy was shot at the Caribe Royale Resort at 8101 World Center Drive. The deputy was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Investigators are responding to the scene.

It's still a decent area, this incident not withstanding. Nowhere near as shady as, say, northern I-Drive. I think this was just a fluke.
