what kind of shoes are you wearing for you wedding?

my DF doesn't want me in heels cause we are practically the same height and he doesn't want me taller... but I dunno.. I may get something with a small heel anyway.

I also was thinking of getting some funky shoes or something with a bit more personality than just a regular strappy shoe. Maybe some vintage looking boots or maybe I'll just go with flip flops.. who knows!

so tell me what you are wearing or did wear and if you have pics of your shoes, that's even better!

I actually found my shoes on ebay, just a normal bridal heel but for the reception I have white sequined flip flops that my mom bought. I've seen people dye thier shoes and make them with sequins and glitter, so if you find a pair you like, there's all sorts of possibilities

For my dancing dress (the one I was supose to do the garter thing in), I bought a pair of Pumas I found that were a burgandy red like my flowers. They are very comfy, but I never ended up wearing them at the reception. However, they get plenty of use!

Here are the shoes I am wearing for my wedding:

I have bought them from Shopforbridal.com, I got them really cheap, $45, I think. I haven't received them yet, they shipped on Monday, but I have been told to allow 3 weeks for delivery.

I went for shoes like this as I thought I could wear them again, there are so many things that are only worn on the wedding day so I thought this was a great find. The ones in the UK that were almost identical cost triple the price!!!

Luna, have you looked at Zappos yet? (www.zappos.com). I have had nothing but WONDEFUL customer service from them -- many times they offer free next day air shipping. They have a HUGE selection of shoes and if you are looking for something really funky try looking on their site for the brand Irregular Choice.

It gives just a little bit of height and is still very cute! I want to comfortable and these look like I could handle them all day. Of course I will buy the ivory ones to match the dress.

I wore a strappy sandal died ivory to match my dress. Only had 1 1/2" heel but they really were not made for walking the Boardwalk, my feet really paid a price for it.

Mine are white sandles with tiny Rhinestones. Just realized I probably should start breaking them in.

thanks for reminding me! I'm getting married at the boardwalk too and there is quite a walk to seabreeze point isnt' there? ouch! I better remember that when I'm buying my shoes!
