Shoes to wear in Disney?

I also love Rainbow flip flops, but they can be a bit pricey. They're very comfortable though. :)

I have a pair of Rainbows and they are really comfortable :) I'm just not sure about walking in them for such a long time.
I just said that because...well, by the end of the trip, I've pretty much worn a hole in my cheap Old Navy flip flops. I've never taken my Rainbow's to Disney, mind you. But maybe they'd hold up a bit better.

i suggest tennis shoes... but i myself am in the same situation because my flip flops are slippery when it rains and it is supposed to rain everyday i am there but i cant wear tennis shoes becuz i have a broken toe

I bet they would hold up better, with all the gripping on the bottom of the shoe.

lots of people are saying to wear Old Navy flipflops but my mom says they wont have enought support. how did they work for you if you wore them to disney?

I always say no to crocs and flip-flops in the parks. I wouln't want to wear them in the parks because the could fall off or they would just hurt your feet. I wear Converse when I go to the parks.

Well, I'm not a teen, so forgive my intrusion :) I saw your post on the main disboards page so I thought I'd lend my opinion.

I love love love my J Crew flip flops. I've worn them for 2 WDW trips so far and they're awesome. Even after a whole day of walking my feet don't hurt. No blisters either. Plus they are super cute!

They are a little expensive as far as flip flops go, but I've had mine for 2 years and still wear them all the time. They hold up just fine in the rain too.

I would advise against Old Navy flip flops. I wore them when DH (then fiance) and I went to WDW in 2004 and oh my did my feet hurt! They are so thin and offer no support. Really terrible for a whole day of walking!

Have fun on your trip!!!

exactly, flipflops exspecially, can fall off on rides. Which i do not want to go walking around WDW with one shoe on :rotfl:

Yep. That would be quite an ordeal. If you have Converse or something, let me suggest high tops. They're more comfortable to me and they've never rubbed blisters on me.

I always bring sneakers and a bunch of pairs of flip flops. Usually I spend the morning in sneakers and change to flip-flops in the afternoon.

They don't have support, but they're comfortable to me. I wear them A LOT, and my feet are just used to them. Like I've said before, at the end of the trip, I did feel like I might be getting a blister on the side of my foot.

You should probably wear whatever your mom suggests you wear.

I've never had a flip flop fall off. If people are losing their shoes, it's probably be they're dangling them.

i saw someone wearing HEELS when i went to disneyland
i thought she was crazy

i wear converse, flip flops can fall off
and you want something that your feet are comfy in

I'm an overpacker and always have 3+ pairs of shoes: a pair of sneakers, my crocs, and flip-flops. Sometimes I'll bring my slides too.

lol, I've got four pairs of shoes. My Nike Dunks, New Balance shoes, Quiksilver flip-flops, and black dress shoes.

To the OP - Just wear whatever is comfortable.

No kidding. At my last appointment, my orthopedic oncologist FLIPPED when he saw I was in flip flops. (More so over the flip flops than the tattoo lol) "Technically" you're not supposed to wear flip flops with a knee replacement because there's not enough support. "Technically" I'm a teenage girl still and I do what works for me. ;)
If only he knew I walked a mile in those flip flops....

LOL, and I'd say you're a tad bit feminine.

okay, i got these shoes from landsend yesterday

in the canal blue color...
so my mom made me start wearing them to try and make my feet comfy in them, you know, to break them in. But, my feet are really sensitive i guess, that i got a blister on the back of my foot after 10 minutes of wearing them (on the back of my foot). I mean the back part of the shoe was really cushiony and i didnt think i'd get a blister from it, but i did. Oh well, besides the blister they are really comfy.

So, im bringing my Rainbow flipflops and those waterproof shoes i just talked about. Is there ANY other shoe i MUST bring????

Hun, those look like GREAT Disney shoes! Seriously, just looking at them reminds me of Disney for some reason. I think the only problem might be the back of them (I can't wear shoes like that because I get blisters on the back), and I think you can buy some moleskin and put it on the back of your foot to prevent that.

I think you're good to go! Have fun! :)

i found some bandaid kinda looking things that feels like clay or whatever that you put over a blister that is forming to prevent it getting worse! Thanks! And i know they totally remind me of Disney!
