Well the other day I went to a wedding and the pre-reception was on a deck. I was walking around and my heel got stuck in between the planks. I almost fell flat on my face!

Well I had a flash-forward to my wedding and walking down the boardwalk to my SBP wedding and face planting in my dress.(I'm known for my grace) So I have now decided that heels are out.

So I have now decided I need flats or wedges or something without a thin heel that I could get stuck in the boards. Any suggestions? I dont have a color in mind, but I was hoping for more than a flip flop

When I was looking for wedding shoes I went to DSW and hit the clearance. I found a super cute pair of sandals that had a slight heel but were not skinny and looked great.

So if you have any big shoe places around I'd just go into one and see what they have hiding.

My heels got stuck in boardwalk. Thankfully this was after the ceremony right before the reception. I would definitely wear some cute ballet flats. Maybe something like this?:
