Shoes for Merchandise Role

Anyone that has worked in merchandise, can you please give me an idea of what color shoes you are required to wear? I would love to get them for my DD before we leave Michigan and not have to play the treasure hunt there in Orlando if we can avoid it.

it totally depends on the location. could be all black or all white. maybe a sneaker or dress shoe. could potentially be a boot.

your daughter will learn about what she specifically needs as part of training. there are plenty of places in the area that sell shoes and are well stocked with the colors/styles that cast members need.

From just picking up shifts in multiple locations, many areas wear black. But there are still places that have white shoes. AK generally has boots, but I'm not sure of Dino Land USA, I think they have white. I would wait until you arrive and check in before buying shoes.

The majority wears black shoes/sneakers, but I too would recommend waiting til you arrive to buy shoes. I almost bought black shoes for my role in attractions and it turned out that I needed hiking boots so I was glad I waited

If you plan on picking up shifts elsewhere then wouldn't the odds be in your favor to purchase all black non slip sneakers ahead of time, regardless if your official location turns out to need all white sneaks or black dress shoes?

Hiking boots? That's good to know because I didn't know that some merch locations used them. I just thought that merch tended to have three shoe options (the ones I listed above), and that only attractions like Expedition Everest used hiking boots.
