Shoes for beach wedding at GF

We will attending a spring wedding that's schedule for the beach by GF's Wedding Pavilion. Attire will be somewhat casual - sundresses for ladies and khakis/button down shirts for men. I'm wondering what kind of shoes we should be planning since we'll be on the beach. I haven't been on the beach by GF so I don't know how fluffy/packed the sand is there.

Will women be okay in heels? Would flats be a better bet? How about a low-wedge heel?

Will men be okay in dress shoes? Or would something like a leather loafer be better?

I would wear dress shoes for men and heels for women, or whatever type shoes go with your outfit. As most on the beach weddings want you to take your shoes off before getting on the sand. So I'm not sure what the couple has planned.
