Shoe choice for park days

What's your shoe choice?

I like to rotate between my Reebok cross-fit sneakers and my Keens. Neither are stylish, but they are comfortable and I do not end the day with shards-o-glass-feet (where it feels like you're walking on shards of glass).

I rotate between $2 Old Navy flip flops and the Crocs Malindi. Any kind of athletic shoes are just torture for me.

keens whispers mostly but rotate sometimes with my asics gel kayanos. i read about the keen whispers here on the dis and i wear them all the time and love them.

I wore my birkenstock sandals which were the most comfortable. I hated my skechers go walks - my feet are too wide which I didn't realize until 8 hrs in!

I switched it up between my Keen Whispers and my Clarks Morse Tour last time. I am going to add a third into the rotation which will probably be Go Walks, but I am still shopping around.

Clarks and Nike sandals. They were super comfy and supportive (especially the Clarks). No problems at all.

But, I spent the better part of two months gradually breaking them in and making sure I could comfortably walk long distances in them, before I tried them at Disney. I think they would have seriously chewed up my feet, without careful prep beforehand.

As it was, the first few days the soles of my feet were a bit sore by the very end of the evening. But nothing serious, and by the middle of our vacation my feet were perfectly happy again. I can't wait to wear them on our next trip in the spring! (I can't wear them at all in the winter here, as I'm pretty sure the salt and snow would destroy them very, very quickly.)

After working at Disney, I can pretty much wear any shoe in the park, even heels or other ridiculous items. But my shoes of choice are Birkenstocks or flip flops.

Gotta rotate!! If I wear the same shoes twice in a row I ends up with the shards-o-glass feet (which is an awesome albeit painful description).

Sketchers go walks and flip flops, usually. An occasional "real" tennis shoe depending on time of year.

That's interesting that several people said flip-flops. I would have thought that torture on your feet.

100% agree with the rotating shoes. Looking to replace the cross-fit shoes with something else but I am not sure what yet.

Always tennis shoes. I get shoes that are right for my feet at a local running store.

I have to do flip-flops, just in case of rain or getting them wet in any way. I rotate between Orthaheel (Vionic) and Deckers which are sturdy and molded to my feet after 10 years/countless countries & places. The only drawback from wearing sneakers to me is keeping my kids off my feet.

I unfortunately have broken my feet quite a few times by my ripe age of 27, so now lately I have been wearing Birkenstock Gizeh sandals to the parks, but I do switch it up with Havaianas regular flip flops too. This trip I only wore the Havaianas flip flops and regretted it! My feet were crying from such little support for days on end. I do about as much walking daily at home as in Disney, so my Birks are pretty broken in. Overall I've always had great luck with them in the parks!

My first WDW trip I wore Keens and had a pair of slip on sneakers from a Clarks brand that I wore on non-park days. This past summer I never found a good replacement for the sneaker and I wore Chacos every day. I love my Chacos dearly, but the arch support is quite aggressive for me and my feet were HURTING by then end of it. Lessons learned on the rotating shoes. Since then I've started working retail and wear Skechers gowalk3's for work, so I'll probably take those and my chacos with me when dh and I have our couples trip this summer.

Bernie Mevs- usually the comfi or cuddly styles. We are usually in the parks from open to close and since I started wearing them, my feet aren't even tired at the end of the day. You don't want to start a full park day with a brand new never worn pair though. You need to have worn them at least 3 hours or so to break them in and get them to stretch and conform to your feet before wearing them in the parks.

These Merrell slip on Mary Janes did GREAT for five days at the parks (each day averaging over 25,000 steps or 10 miles on the FitBit). I swapped out my other Merell sandals for one day and went right back to these!

Nike Vomero running shoes. The most comfortable shoes I've ever had!
