Shocking

I've been for both lunch and dinner x2. 1st dinner was the day after our disney wedding, it was pretty good! I had good service, good good and it was a quiet relaxing meal right after such a hectic few days.

For dinner #2 it was my husband, daughter, daughter's friend and myself. It was a MISERABLE time. The friend was an italian teenager from jersey (transplanted to Tennessee) and made the mean miserable because she felt it was appropriate to correct everyone on what we were ordering (because we didn't pronounce things the way she felt that they should be.. who knew that we were supposed to put a hard g sound in ricotta cheese??). She then felt that at her 15 year old wisdom was enough to tell the wait staff just how the food had been prepared wrong.. lord, I can't tell you how the food was, all I can tell you was that it was a horrible time.

Lunch was just my husband and myself. We were an early seating and had a wonderful waitress, fabulous food and a good relaxing meal.

So.. I think it is what you make of it.. the food is good, the service is good, but don't take an snarky 15 year old italian LOL

:scared1: guess I will be taking the nephew at a young age, and not wait for the teen years!

I suppose I should stick up for my opinion, because I wasn't too happy about paying $15 for spaghetti that tasted like it came out of a can with a chef's picture on it. Didn't like the dessert either. That was several years ago, though. Much better places to eat in the vicinity (although maybe not in the park. MK is not a food park)

I waited about 20 minutes to use the restroom (plus, women take FOREVER to use the restroom, I don't get it!). By the time I got back to the table my DH was done with his meal, I missed the waitress bringing out our special card and dessert, and my food was cold :(

I think I would be scared to use that stall if I had to wait 20 minutes for it.

Every single restaurant at WDW has had numerous horrible review stories posted here and elsewhere. Some of my worst experiences I gave a 2nd chance and loved it but also had the opposite happen as well. Teppan Edo for instance is almost always considered a favorate by many here. For me it was blah, way below similar restaurants we have locally.

Tony's has always been good for us and we go every trip. Its not one of our most favorates but when at MK its convenient and we've always had good service and good food and an overall enjoyable time. We even dined on the outside patio once and watched electric light parade from our table.

When at MK another great choice for us has been Kona at Polynesian. Very quick boat or monorail ride to/from.

We are also doing Crystal Palace for Breakfast :lovestruc

You'll love it, great choice.

We've done Tony's twice. Both times were decent, comparable with Olive Garden in our opinion. Take that as it is.

Are you open to changing loctions? Maybe hop on the monorail and go to Kona Cafe instead, not a romantic place, but better food at about the same price. (And Tony's isn't romantic either.)

Funny, I posted before reading the second page. Great minds...

We loved CP last trip. We ate at Tony's as well, and sat on the patio during the MSEP. I don't really think I am open to changing, because the husband chose Tony's over Callie Grill :scared1: (we ate at CG on our wedding night, but Tony's was so romantic last time...)

We had an anniversary dinner at Tony's, and it was the worst experience I've ever had at a WDW restaurant. We will never go back. >>> :thumbsup2 Dont blame you!

Dinner is horrible at Tony's - would never go back. IMHO, some places to dine at Disney are not worth going to even if the meal was free.>>> I couldnt agree more!!! :thumbsup2 The only way you'd be able to make me eat at Tony's again is if you tie me to my chair and force feed!

It was the WORST meal i've ever had at Disney, EVER. I think the marinara sauce killed all the dishes. It was gross. I had the chicken parm, NASTY. My son had the spag/balls, GROSS! I tried the meat ball and refused to swallow it. It was that bad. I'd honestly much rather eat chef boyardee than this stuff. I also had the cesar salad, wilted lettuce and dressing was bland. Dessert was good thou. That was the only good part. I even found the atmosphere pretty lame and cold. There's a statue of lady/tramp in the middle of the restaurant, but thats it. I will NEVER go back. Ever.

Oh no. Tony's was our worst meal on property EVER! We tried it for the first time on our most recent trip a couple of months ago. Aside from having to wait for over 30 minutes watching everyone else being seated only to find out, the did NOT check us in properly, the restaurant itself was freezing cold, as was the cafeteria-like "Italian" food. Seriously. I got the baked ziti, which I think was an insult to Italian ladies everywhere to even call it that! It was cold in the center...and I don't just mean not hot. It was cold. The only good thing about that meal was the garlic bread with mozzarella. I would seriously reconsider having your anniversary dinner there.

We are having our anniversary dinner at Tony's Town Square, I am sure much to the dismay of many of you here. :lmao:

Anyone shocked? Tell me about your worst experience there!

We've been twice and both times, the food and service were excellent. The NY strip was cooked a perfect med rare. Happy Anniversary! Tony's feels very old school Disney. I think it's a good choice. :thumbsup2

We have only been to Tony's once and had an enjoyable time. My chicken parm. meal was great...perfectly cooked and seasoned, (and way too much for me to eat alone,) and my husband enjoyed his meal. We had excellent service, a decent table and good food. What more can you ask for? We ate in the atrium, which was charming, but the interior of the restaurant seemed to have a nice ambiance.

We've been and I have to say it wasn't the worst place that we've eaten.... definitely not the best. My compliant was that I ordered chicken parm and DD ordered spaghetti. They arrived within 4 minutes of the waiter taking our order. Do you think they happend to be under a heat lamp anywhere? At least mine was - my first hint was the basil leaf that adorned my dish looked like it had been torched!

But seriously, I loved the decor, our waiter was wonderful and the rolls were tasty.

Enjoy your special celebration. :goodvibes

Not shocked... lots of people love it! We unfortunately are not a family that enjoyed it. We've only been once, last September, and I'm sad to say we won't go back. First, it was freezing inside (and I like the cold). Secondly, our food was very sub-par, except for the Pina Colada Creme Brulee they had that day for dessert. I ordered Chicken Parm... my noodles were on the hard side, very little sauce, and the chicken was dry. My daughter's spaghetti noodles were also hard. Don't remember what DH had... I remember he said his meal was okay, but certainly not up to his expectations. Other daughter had pizza that was okay. Lastly (and this isn't the restaurant's fault), there was a toddler that was just not in a good mood seated 2 tables away from us. Lots of screaming/crying on the child's part... again, not necessarily blaming the restaurant or the child (I've had a meltdown in the middle of Downdown Disney as an adult! LOL! :rotfl:).

It just wasn't what we were hoping for. I love Lady and the Tramp, and I guess I hoped for a bit more on the decor side as well. Oh well...

Hope your trip and anniversary are fabulous!
