Anybody had one of their children SHOCK them with an addmission of love for DL? Today was my day! :cloud9:

You know how everyone on this board LOVES DL? Well, I am so proud of my DS17! Teenager that he is, it is often really hard to read his thoughts but here is my confirmation! He loves DL too!

He was noticing me posting on the DIS board. Get this, he says to me... "You mean there are other people as obsessed with Disneyland as much as WE are?" He said WE! Not just me but WE! All this time I have worried a little that my family did not enjoy themselves as much as I do when we are at DL (you know just sorta humor you or tolerate it) but my son GETS IT! HE really gets it! :dance3: He is such a good boy! ::yes::

My DS11 told me he knows everything there is to know about DL , and yes he is excited to go but does not want to alk about it or watch the planning video anymore :confused3 , at least I have DS8, it is our goal to have his spelling sentences have a DL refence at least once a week!

LOL too funny. It wasn't a kid but my DBF about floored me when he told me how much he loves DL. I really thought it was all me but nope, he's into as much as I am!! YAY!!! Only took me 2 years to figure that out! LOL

My DS posts on here a lot. I think a lot of you know him (DLR29). He knows way more than me and is probably more of a Disney fanatic (It's hard to admit ;) )

What? There's a DIS homeschooling board????? We homeschool! How come I never knew. :confused3

Taking family to disneyland next April 2009 6 Adults and 2 kids. Where do you recommend we stay on or off property. Stayed off property before unsure if staying at the Disneyland Hotel worth the extra money. Suggestions? mickeyminnie7

:wave2: Homeschooler here too! :)

If there isn't a DIS homeschooling board, I'm thinking there should be! Tons of us here! :)

My son has shown to be a huge disney fan for quite a few years now. He collects mini globes, talks about our trips often (almost as often as me! LOL). It's awesome being able to share that common love with him! :)

I am 18, and even though its a lot older than 11, I always found it more fun to just go. No plans, just go to the park, and go from there. Its more unexpected that way and it makes it that much more 'Magical.'

My DS6 is a huge freak like me, he talks about Disneyland nonstop and makes me track the height requirements online to make sure he'll be able to ride the rides he wants to when we get there :cool1: He also peeked over my shoulder the very cool Disney bathroom in the "fanatic" thread and shouted "We need that bathroom!!" He has chosen Mickey Mouse and Disney as the theme for his 7th birthday party. My other DS10 is much more "cool" about things, but I can tell that he gets excited when we start discussing the park. He has started reading some of my "Behind the scenes" and history of Disneyland books, and is really digging on knowing some of the more trivial things about the park. And DD3 is simply mad about the mouse....Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is her fave show right now, so I think she is right on track as well.....:cool1:

It is nice to have company! I also home school DS10.

Another home schooler here! I will have to keep that in mind!

Not a forum, but a thread. Unless I'm missing something. :)

I am so happy he gets it.
I must say my 7 year old is already feeling disney obsessed! We are leaving in 12 days but she is planning how she will do Jedi Training and which rides to do when! I just adore her enthusiasm. it may pass mine someday!

My 2yo is ALWAYS asking me when we are going to DL next. My 6yo?? Well, he LIKES it, but when I told him that we were going to Alcatraz this summer, he asked me if it was haunted. I told him that I wasnt sure, but it is supposed to be. He got all :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :yay: :yay: :yay: about that, and is more excited to go see some ghosts then he EVER was about going to DL!:lmao: :lmao:

WHat can I say? he is his fathers son.

My kids would never go as far as to say they "love" disneyland. But they do enjoy going. And my 15yo said to me yesterday she hopes we still go on our trip in December (Christmas).
