I have luck managing my weight by counting calories and trying to avoid processed food when possible. That helps me keep it simple. Also means I read a lot of labels now. Some of the things I find are shocking.
Last night I made mozzerella sticks for the family. Thought "oh I'll just have one." As I took the first bite I read the label to find that one stick has over 100 calories. I literally spit it out (I can think of better ways to eat those 100 calories).
Then there is my beloved "Ultimate Butter" Boy Scout popcorn that has been a staple in my diet for so long (have to support my 2 Boy Scouts). Finally read the label and........
Am I reading that wrong or does one bag have over 500 calories?
Just some examples of how we can do so much for our health by just taking a minute to think before we eat. Do you have any examples?
