Well I'll try this again, my first trip report was removed for containing what was deemed "personal comments". :confused3 We spent 4 days at BCV then flew to Texas for 4 days and then back to WDW for 2 days at OKW. We only booked 2 days there because I knew going in that OKW wasn't our style of resort. We prefer hotel like resorts that offer room service. I guess in a nutshell our perfect resort would be a luxury hotel with condo type rooms. We had some real issues with check in at OKW but after we were settled we loved the place. It is definitely the most beautiful of all the DVC resorts. It was so relaxing and the larger rooms great. I liked the smaller pool with the playground close by. My son loved going between the playground and the waterslide. It was easy to watch him as the pool area isn't too big. We really felt like we were on vacation there. I could really see spending an extended amount of time there. We did have issues with not being able to order to go food from Olivias. This is a new policy there and it stinks. See the thread on here about food at Olivias. No ordering to go from Olivias, not inside or at Goods. All in all OKW is near the top of my list now. It truly was great and we fell in love with the place more each day.
The resort was 86% occupied but never felt busy. Because it is so spread out many people go to the sateelite pools like Turtle Pond, etc. GREAT PLACE!!!!

Sorry, the thread about the food is entilted Olivia's takout. I mention another issue with Beaches and Cream on that thread also.

We like OKW a lot too. Glad to hear of another convert!

You obviously don't know that you are not supposed to say anything nice about OKW. :sad2: Those of us that like to stay there would like to continue to be able to get a ressie at any time.

You probably did not notice how far OKW is away from everything, that it is full of old folks (kind of a retirement home) and you have to park in front of your Villa and on and on and on and on.

Honestly, glad you had a good time and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of OKW.

oh RWE, you crack me up! :thumbsup2

You forgot to mention, all that dang lush tropical landscaping that makes you stop and forces you to smell the roses. This is Disney, you can't be stopping to smell gorgeous flowers all the time!!!! It's a ploy I tell you, those OKW designers actually want you to believe your on vacation! The nerve!!!!!!!! :teeth:

We have just booked at OKW (studio) for our first trip in December. I am glad to here you enjoyed it. What building were you in? Our children are 4 and 2 and the playground and pool together sounds great! We can't wait

After our first stay at OKW last April I came home and did an add on. We loved the place and found it very relaxing!

I also love OKW. I stayed there for the first time in 2003 with family & we had a 2 bedroom villa. It was wonderful. This time in 4/07 were going to stay in a studio because its just going to be myself, DH, DS3 & DS1. Has anyone stayed in the studios? If so how did you feel about them? Can you get a fridge & microwave in the room? So many questions... TIA :sunny:

The studios have microwave, toaster, coffee pot, and undercounter fridge with freezer already in them. No need to ask for another.

By the way, Dave... Glad you liked our "home"! ;)

I love the BWV thay's why I own there. I really like going to OKW also, it's so relaxing there.

Awww, c'mon... its a horrible place, bad little rooms, way to comfy and homey for vacation. Plus they make a disgustingly good pina colada which is just terrible to have to drink by the pool. Wouldn't the excitement of the BW be better? :rolleyes1

Whatever will we hear after Daitcher stays at SSR in the future....

Thanks everyone for the coments, yes even yours Dr.T and Keystothe kingdom. :) I'll keep my glowing comments of OKW quiet, we don't need more bookings there. Who knows maybe SSR will be my next love. :confused3

Glad to see you can take a gentle teasing. :teeth: You seem like a fun guy who can take a joke, or I wouldn't have posted this. Thanks for your nice trip report about OKW. :thumbsup2

I have read that there are safes in the studio rooms and other places I have read did not mention a safe in the studio rooms. Can anyone enlighten me?
