Just got back from a trip on the Wonder. The last night I had the biggest surprise of my life. I was watching the characters say good bye. As they are all lined up on the stairs they do the last line of the end song from Mickey Mouse Club. They signed it! Not the interpreters but the cast! I got a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. That was worth every cent I paid for the cruise.

How lovely! There is nothing like Disney!

What a wonderful ending to your WONDERful cruise, TalkingHands :) :) :) That must've meant so much to you. Do they do that on all the cruises, or do you think they knew that there were guests onboard who would especially appreciate sign language??

P.S. When we saw "Festival of the Lion King" in AK in 2001, they had 2 interpretors and they did such a beautiful job signing and acting out the lyrics, I literally couldn't take my eyes off of them during the show. I was very impressed with Disney for having this service.

Hi Talking Hands.

I love finding a moment in any Disney vacation which holds a special meaning, a private appeal. I also love hearing when others share in this experience. This is the bond which makes so many different and varied people so familiar to one another...

Hi Lisa,

It was great getting to meet you and DH before our sailing on the MAGIC, and your sailing on the WONDER, around the Radisson pool.

Yes they probably did know their was some aboard that was deaf or hard of hearing because there were interpreters aboard and all the shows were interpreted. In fact, in one case they added something in just to give one of the interpreters a hard time but he just took it in stride.
But it was still quite special because they have taken the time to learn the signs and use them.

Verandah Man it was nice meeting you and your family as well as Moosysmom Friday. If it had not been for your shirts and seeing them on your family in Kelsey's I would not have know you were there. Glad you were decked out in lime green splendor.

They did this on the July 5th Magic cruise and I agree it was lovely.
