We were at the Dolphin in March and had a balcony room. There was a couple of times people were :Pinkbounc out on the balcony. I was  at first but then I just thought what the heck....it was darkish and it wasn't like they were hanging over the rail screaming - I'm a little embarrassed to say that we rushed inside our room at first like WE were the ones who did something wrong - but then we just thought - hey, we paid for our balcony and this view - and well, "that" view isn't killing us...kinda spiced up our 7 year marriage :o

Should we have complained on principle? I''m guessing there's some kind of law against it - would YOU have called the front desk or felt like an old fuddy duddy to "narc" on them?

If it was something comparable to what you could see if you turned on your television then I would not have complained...which leaves a lot of latitude given what is on television today.;)

I love your reaction. I could definitely see myself acting like I was the one who had been caught doing something bad. Too funny!

Were they close enough to hear you if you screamed? If they were I probably would have yelled something like "Ya'll look like your having fun over there" or something to that affect. Just to throw off their rythm a bit :) But I wouldn't be pleased if I had children and one of the asked "Mom, what are they doing on the balcony over there?"!!

So yeah I would have laughed...but I'm sure there were some not so happy parents!

Let me get this straight...are you saying that there were totally nude people standing on their balcony?

If they spent any length of time out there, I guess I might have to call management as my 12 and 13 year olds don't need to be seeing that! And we spent lots of time on our balcony (fully dressed ofcourse!

Don't know what they would've done, except maybe tell them that standing on their balcony without clothes on is indecent exposure! Maybe they were Europeans? They have a totally different outlook on public nudity! ;)

I guess the old expression of "Hey, get a hotel room!" wouldn't have worked in this case! :teeth:

Ok, I promise everyone who reads this that everything in this story is completely true...

When I was 19 my family made our annual trip to WDW. We were at Epcot one day and my Brother in Law and I decided to head back to our resort to go for a swim and then off to play golf. We were staying at the GF so we hopped onto the Monorail and we were off about half way to the ttc, where the two tracks run parallel the conductor came over the intercome and said that we would be stopping for a moment while he waited for the ok to go on... the train wasn't busy at all, we started to get anxious. I had seen the monorail going towards Epcot pull up next to us and stop. I sat back down and glanced over at the other train, the windows had a glare on them so I couldn't see in but then our train moved forward a bit and that all changed. I wish our train wouldn't have moved because what we saw was disgusting, although we couldn't stop laughing. There was two men and a women. The women had a sun dress on that was pulled down exposing her. One of the men was sitting next to her (couldn't see what he was doing) the other man was taking pictures of the whole thing. The one taking pictures noticed us, and I am sure many others, staring and he waved and gave us a thumbs up... What the heck??? No one believed us until we got home and my brother who belongs to many different email groups, got word of a Website, don't know the addy, where this photographer had posted many very good pictures of WDW including a section with pictures of this man and women exposing themselves all over... in the parks, on the bus, in restaurants heck I don't know where else. Now I haven't visited the site and I don't know the addy, so all you who are going to be messaging me asking for it I don't have it. I just can't believe people do things like this for fun. I am sure there are people here that have done crazy things but this just makes me laugh...

Hey, get back INSIDE your hotel room"!;)

I know the website you are referring to, but hesitate to post the URL here! (family board and all!)

If anyone wants it PM me, but I'm off to work, so I won't be getting back to you until tomorrow AM!

OH MY GOD! I am so embarassed! You saw ME!

I scrolled down to the next message and realized my face looked exaclty like Debbie B's icon!

I'm still laughing!

They were dressed making out at first...which doesn't scar me much and I figure it's their balcony and their 'romantic evening" - but then after the fireworks (9:30 or 10 p.m.) they were out there and there was some Monika Lewinsky action going on but they were quiet and easy/hard to ignore - and then they were actually having sex naked standing up and then him in the chair. That was pretty apparent. Of course it was nighttime - but there is lighting around the hotel and from people's rooms and the moon and all - so you could see pretty clearly. European people or not it was inappropriate by american standards - but I just wondered if I am a little bit of a freak by not being too wigged out about it....it's not like I got out my video camera (I swear!) - but I kind of did  notice.....and didn't complain. Maybe I need counseling? I was frankly happy to see that somebody was on vacation getting laid....I guess. And like I said, it kinda spiced up the :o love life...

I needed a good laugh this afternoon and this thread certainly did it. I emailed it to my husband at work. I would of done exactly the same as you. I can't imagine trying to pick the right words to explain the problem to the front desk. The monorail story is almost as good as the Long Island Rail Road story from a few months ago about the 2 brothers and one wife.

I would have called security, and I don't think of myself as a fuddy-duddy. I think that is totally inappropriate. This is Walt Disney World and there are lots of children around! Take it inside.

I think as long as my son wasn't around to see it, dh and I would both have a good laugh about it. However, he's the type that would of had to shout over the comments. Heck, I had a great laugh just reading this post.:p

I would of waited until they we over then shouted something like

5.5 for technical performace
7.0 for artistic expression

OMG that is sooooooooo funny!!!!!! :p :p I would have yelled out something to them and REALLY embarrassed them. LOL ;)
