shirts are ruined!

Just wanted to make everyone aware. Purchased transfers from AC Moore and followed directions to the letter! Now, we've just returned from WDW and I washed them once. A good majority of the shirts are ruined. Transfers are peeling/cracking. I'm soooo mad I could scream! All that hard work down the drain. Good thing I waited to wash them until after our trip. I would have been really mad if they had done it before!

I am so sorry this happened to you. Same thing happened to me this summer for my son's birthday shirt. I cam home and washed it once and it too was shredded.

I have tried so many transfers over the years and some are pure garbage. I think that the condition of the transfers has more to do with the quality of the transfer and less to do with operator error/success.

After lots of searching I finally have the best transfers and I just want to shout it out to all of you - because I know the pain of what you are going through. It is very sad when you have used so much money and more so - so much time - to only have them ruin.

But this is exactly why I always say, wash them after you return because this has happened to me too many times over the years.

I am so sorry that your shirts got ruined... I am glad that you waited til after the trip. We waited too - because of things that we heard here... but so far we did OK - we got ours from HP and they did get a bit wrinkled but not too bad - though the red on my stick family shirt did run a little and seemed to settle on and around the black lines of the design.

What brand were they from AC Moore? I have a pack here. Guess I won't be using them tomorrow when I try my shirts. I have less than a week, so I have to do something! Are the HP ones sold at Staples/Office Depot? I may need to go there in the am.

I'm not sure which stores carry the HP dark transfers (for dark shirts but we used them for all of our shirts)--but you could call to find them--also try craft stores if Staples or Office Depot doesn't carry them.
I know my sister ordered the HP ones from HP--and they arrived at her house with free shipping within just 3 or 4 days (she's in a rural area)... and it was buy 2 pkgs and get 1 free... but they may have rush orders too for shipping.
