Hey Shirley-

I thought maybe you could let me know how the Keywest Cemetery tour is? Is it fun? Exciting? Scary? I was wondering if Mutt and Jeff my 14 year old boy/girl twins would think it was cool.

thanks much

I'd like to know about this one too... (except it's spelled "cemetery"...) :)

not sure how much the tour is. I think I would say that you could easily walk eight or so blocks from the ship to the cemetery and do this on your own if you wanted. It does have lots of unusual head stones that i think your family would get a kick out of seeing.

I thought they did away with SPELLCHECKING on the DIS!

Hey there,
I believe the cemetery walk is awesome AND it can be taken without help - you can speak to the sexton called cigarette Willy (that was his father's nickname) ---anyhow he will give you directions to all the interesting sites - go to the entrance on Margaret Street (which then changes to Passover Lane) and this is where the sexton is --you can no longer see where Elena, the young girl that was taken from her tomb by her doctor) was buried the first time since the dr. blew it open and then it became a hazzard object in the graveyard - on "4th Street" - you will find the grave that is off the ground - I myself have wandered through the graveyard over the past 65 years and always have found something new - Yes I do recommend it - ask Dave about the cemetery map I sent him - or maybe he has posted it on his web site.
I will be going down Friday and will get another map and have copies made and will share with who ever wants it - no cost - just pay for the postage.
Hugssssssssssssss to all
Love
Always

I'd better not let my family see this thread...they'll lock me up before we get down - claim I like cemetary viewing too much. Hey I only made them trek through 3 or 4 when we were down in the Civil War battlefield area!
