and I sit here and watch it and bawl like a baby. Had to change channels as I got a headache from trying not to cry so much !
I really lost it when the Dad's got to see their babies for the first time. Reminded me of DH and newborn premie DS meeting after the Gulfwar. I saw a Sub come in the other day and cried just as hard, and DH is a soldier, not even a sailor! Anyone else cry happy tears watching this?

Yes, I did. How difficult it must have been for you to have a preemie with your husband on the front lines. You are a very strong person.

Not so strong, I still cry about it 12 years later !
Glad to know it makes others cry, maybe I am not too freaky after all! Don't know if I will watch anymore homecomings though ! My face still hurts !

You poor thing, I can't even imagine having a baby with Dh being away. I was a wreck with him just being gone.

I too bawl like a baby when I watch it. I also cry because I can imagine what it will be like when DH will be getting off a plane. Its starting to feel so close!!

I was bawling big time when I was watching it. I was so happy to know that the Navy lets the babies go first but they should of held the media back a little.
