Does anyone know if packages shipped to Disney go directly to the resort or if they are delivered to a central area on property and then farmed to the resorts? Had a package that was delivered yesterday at noon and it is not at my resort. Never had this happen.... It's usually available when the delivery notification is sent. The desk told me there was a central area and then they bring them to each resort which apparently is closed on Sundays.... Never heard this before either (and wondering why you'd close on Sunday's when many conventions do set up on Sunday or very early Monday morning, but I digress).

The cast member seemed unsure of her answer, so trying to find out if this is real or not. Any one have any info?

Where are you staying? How did you ship?
All USPS packages go to a central mail facility and are sorted there then delivered out to the hotels.
Packages shipped UPS, Fed Ex etc to hotels with Convention facilities the packages are delivered to a receiving department. These departments are closed on Sunday's. They also charge a fee
Some Convention facility hotels include thr CR, the Boardwalk Inn, the YC/BC, The CSR. I MAY HAVE FORGOTTEN ONE AS WELL

Boardwalk and via UPS. castmember told me it didn't go to the convention center yesterday but went to whatever this magical and never been heard of central packaging facility. I told her it was UPS.

We stayed at BCV in October. My package, shipped Fed Ex, was delivered to the receiving area of the YC Convention Center. We checked in on Sunday & it was closed.
The "Magical" central packaging center I know of is for US Mail. Mail is delivered centrally, sorted, and sent to the resorts.
I think the CM is misinformed

Something to consider.....Earlier this month we shipped a package to our resort via Priority Mail. It took over 48 hours for us to receive the package at our resort after it arrived at the central facility. I wasn't aware of the central point part of the process and would have mailed our package earlier if I had known, in order to eliminate the internal delay.

I had a package delivered to Pop Century using the Pop Century address to be delivered on Friday 12/18/15 and it showed delivered on Friday. It was in my room when I got back from the parks at 8:30 PM.

How did you ship it? POP Century is NOT a Convention Resort & packages shipped (not mailed) will be delivered directly there. Mailed packages go to a central facility where they are sorted, delayed, and finally delivered to POP.

I had it shipped from Amazon. I'm an Amazon Prime member and they used UPS. I had it shipped to Guest Bill Sears arriving 12/11/15 at Pop Century, 1050 CENTURY DR, LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL 32830-8433

Exactly. POP is not a Convention hotel and this fits the model I have been describing. It all depends on where you are staying
