Shipping to resort ahead of reservation

I know people ship things to the resort all the time, but I've never tried it before. However, I'm considering shipping a Christmas tree and some decorations for our upcoming trip, probably from Amazon since I have Prime. So how does it work exactly? I just order it 2 days before arrival with my name and the resort's address and then find it at bell services? Or do I need to give them some additional information? TIA

Based on this post https://www.disboards.com/threads/no-more-delivery.3771679/ you might have problems with that unless you can pick it up directly from the amazon delivery person....unless im wrong...lets see what the more informed users say..

We stayed at VGF last month and ordered something from Amazon prime during our stay - so not arriving before us. We’ve had stuff shipped to us many times in the past too. We just put our names on the package and the resort address. In the past, we would need to go to the convention center’s business center and pick it up ourselves. This trip it was dropped off in our room by a cast member. I don’t know if this is GF specific but it was totally worth the delivery fee to not have to schlep to and from the conference center.

• Clearly features the word “Guest” on the front and the date of your arrival

I did this on two recent trips.
- The first time the package arrived 3 days into our stay. The package was in our room waiting for us after a day in the parks. Nice!
- Another time, I preordered some energy bars for the RunDisney half marathon. They arrived 2-days before me and I needed them at 5am the morning after my arrival. It took a couple of calls to get them delivered to the room.

Either way, I could consider the process a success and will not hesitate to ship something to the resort.

Where I live, Amazon Prime usually does not come on time. Also, I never know if it will come USPS or FedEx.

In general, USPS to Disney resorts results in a time delay because it goes to a central sorting facility before it gets to your resort.

If your Disney resort has a convention center, FedEx (or UPS but I think amazon stopped using them) goes to the convention center. You have to get it there or have them bring it to you.

I received an Amazon Prime next day delivery via UPS about two hours ago, so Amazon is certainly still using UPS, as well as USPS, and their own delivery trucks in my home area (Chicago suburbs). For us, FedEx would be unusual with Prime, unless it was a third-party seller through Amazon.

Yes, Bell Services will hold your groceries from Amazon Prime Now. If you pick them up from Bell Services there is no additional charge. But if you have Bell Services deliver them to you, there is a $6 charge.
