So DBF are going to Disney in May. Usually I take the auto train because I am staying offsite at my parent's timeshare. So all my food and stuff are packed in a cooler in the car. This time I am flying down so not really taking a lot of stuff with me.
We are staying at BWV so we will have a small fridge. This is his first trip to the world and I want him to really enjoy the experience. So i plan on shipping some stuff down. Just his creature comforts and a few surprises.
I read on another board that the sheets aren't so great in the BWV so I was thinking of shipping a set of my own since I prefer to sleep on a specific type of sheet. I know a little extra but it works for me. Has anyone used their own sheets at Disney?
He is traditionally a late riser so I wanted to have a couple of breakfast things available for him to eat when he gets up. We love Kona coffee and I have some that I brought back from Hawaii. He is also a huge fan of bagels and lox. So I wanted to enjoy that on the balcony in the morning.
So here is the question, the Lox is perishable does anyone have any experience shipping with Dry ice? How much would I need to put in a container so that it would still be safe to eat. How long does the dry ice last in a closed container?
Thanks so much for the help.
