Was wondering if it was possible to ship souvenirs home from your resort. With all of the stuff we already have to take to the airport was hoping we could just box everything up at one time and ship from AKL. Does anyone know if we can do this?

YEs you can. I would contact UPS or Fed Ex myself and arrang it. We went on 04, we stayed off proerty, but I shipped alot of stuff there and back. Christmas tree, stockings, gifts, etc.

I am staying on prop this Christmas and plan on doing the same again.

Just get the resort address.

We had some things shipped to us that we purchased through the resort gift shop. They arrived about 10 days after we returned home and were packed well and arrived intact (one was a wedding globe my DH wanted to give our DD at her bridal shower). Just ask at the gift shop and they will take care of everything for you.

We've only had stuff shipped from the Mexican pavillion in Epcot. It was a bunc of pottery. It arrived only a few days after we did. I couldn't believe how well it was packed. And they only charged about $10.00! It cost WAY more than that just to package it they way they did.

Two Ways:

1) Ship individual items at the time you purchase them
. . . no Florida sales tax
. . . store takes care of everything

2) Ship From the Resort
. . . go to gift shop and get a free box
. . . pack your goodies
. . . take to Guest Services and have them ship (UPS or FEDEX)
. . . they charge your room for freight

When we sent a bunch of stuff home, they packed it for us, and very well I might add. We took it to the chechout at POR gift shop and they just had to see our receipts for each item. It was quick and painless and even the glass items got home in one piece. The items were not all purchased at the gift shop, in fact, very few were.

We bought a ton of items last year at the beginning of December and had it shipped from the gift shop. We saved a lot in FL sales tax and didn't have to worry about packing it and taking it with us. About a week later we received the HUGE box of things we bought and unpacked it. A lot of it was breakable xmas decorations and a few items were broke. We called WDW and they replaced all the items that were broken free of charge.

It's a great service and I highly recommend it. Just ask wherever you buy anything and they'll be sure to help out.

I did this a couple years ago from CBR gift shop. I took all the stuff I got while I was there. Keep all recipts as they will want them. They will only ship Disney stuff too.

We shipped all our goods directly from the gift shop. When we asked earlier in the week they told us not ot go to Guest Services because they charge by weight as opposed to the gift shop charging by dollar amount. They will need all your receipts for the merchandise you will be shipping

I will definitely be shipping our purchases home on our next trip. I didn't realize it was this easy. We usually bring an extra suitcase or duffle bag and it's a pain. Thanks for the info.

So, there I was at BC....getting ready to leave. I had waaaay too much stuff for the luggage I had brought with me. Evidently I bought too many souveniers!!! I went on down to the gift shop, and started looking at the duffle bags. A nice young man, CM, came up to see if he could help me. I explained my situation and he said.."You know, you can bring your stuff down and we can box it up and ship it home for you. You really don't have to buy a new bag." Of course there was a terrific Mickey rolling duffle that I just had to have, and the CM looked at me and said that he figured his boss would probably fire him for suggesting that I ship the stuff home rather than buy the new duffle!!! Bought the duffle, his job was safe. But, it was nice to know that I could have just had it all boxed and shipped....for much less than the duffle by the way!!!

So which is least expensive...one or few big packages shipped from the resort or individually shipped at the time of purchase (of course this does not let you enjoy the purchase until you get home)

Does anyone know if they will ship to the UK? It would be great to ship things home instead of packing them for the long haul.
