Okay, all you expert fliers out there, we have a question for you nice folks:

We live in New Orleans (just outside, actually) and usually drive to WDW. However, this trip, we are flying in and have a question about shipping packages ahead of time.

Is it possible to ship items to your resort (BCV) so that they are there when you arrive? Specifically, baby items. We have a 7 month old and would like to ship in her diapers, wipes, etc., before we arrive so that we may avoid checking them in at the airport. Since we will be there for 10 or 11 days, we will need lots of stuff.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If not, I guess we'll just stop en-route from the airport and buy what we need--it beats putting all that stuff on an airplane!

Thanks in advance! (Princess Samantha especially thanks you!!!!

I know there are ways of shipping things ahead. You might want to call your resort for the process, shipping info, and how to address it. Good luck and have a grand vacation!

We have shipped packages ahead of time to BCV. It was really very easy and worked fine. You basically address the package to the resort indicating your name and check in date on the package and it should be waiting for you when you arrive. There was a thread on this before with the exact address and the specific wording to use.

Thanks to both!

I vaguely remember this discussion before, but my DW thinks senility has set in ( I kinda remember thinking she was right).

Anyway, thanks for the advice!!!!

We have taken several trips with infants, so can relate to your situation.

The easiest thing to do is to stop at a grocery store once you arrive in Orlando. If that doesn't work out (plane arriving too late & no rental car ... like our last trip), fill a large duffle bag with everything you need. You can always pack the duffle away for the return trip or, like us, use it to pack all the inevitable disney stuff you collect on the trip.

I have shipped stuff ahead of time twice. Both times it worked out great. I just addressed to the address on my reservation confirmation and put our name and arrival date on it. The packages were at the hotel when we arrived.
