Hi

I will be visiting WDW in September.
Currently I am thinking about odering some stuff from Amazon, Bath and Body Works and Barnes and Nobles. A bunch of stuff which I cannot buy here in Germany.
Since I know that you can send parcels to the hotel I would like to take advantage of that.
Now to my main question. How long in advance do you recommend to arrange the online orders.
I have absolutely no idea about the exact leading times of USPS and similar services, so I am wondering if anybody here can give me an idea

Thank you

Lead times can be all over the place (it's worse up here in Canada, at least in the US people get antsy when shipping takes over a week). If I were you, I'd find out exactly how long resorts are willing to hold packages prior to your arrival, and order one day before that (unless, of course, it's shorter than a week, in which case I'd order 2 days prior).

From my experience shipping items to a US destination, if it's traveling by courier, 3-5 days is normal, although if the shipper is relatively close, 1-2 days. The longest I've had to wait was 2 1/2 weeks. USPS/US Mail will likely have the most variation.

When I called POFQ about possibly shipping some stuff there prior to our arrival in April, they requested that we put our arrival date on anything that was going to arrive before we were. They also said that two weeks was about the maximum they'd store anything shipped there.

Most things in the US you can specify EXACTLY how many days you want it to take. Sometimes it will cost a touch more for next day or 2 day shipping.

I would just find everything you want to order and look on those websites to verify.

Amazon - you can order pretty much ANYTHING on there in the US. You can order bath and body works for instance on amazon.com and you can also get pretty much any book.

Since Amazon full-fills (they ship for other companies) for Bath and Body works and others they can do next day and 2 day shipping. With amazon I believe you could order everything 2 day shipping and its 1 shipping fee for everything.

Again you will want to go on amazon to verify but I would just order everything from there as you can get it all in a very quick turnaround.

Bath and Body works on Amazon:

The bolded is only true if they select the ground "don't care when it gets there" option when shipping. Mail in the US (even though we are 2x-3x bigger than Europe) is very good and for the most part if I were to ship a package from the middle of the US even with the cheap flat rate boxes from USPS (government mail) it won't take longer than 3 days to get anywhere.
