Has anyone shipped their luggage to the hotel instead of checking it on the plane? We are heading down to DL in Nov and thought this might make for a more relaxing flight to LA. without the worry of whether or not the luggage will be there when we arrive.

No i've never done it although I have thought about it.... I would be too worried about it getting shipped to the wrong place, and the hassle of trying to find it once I get there, along with the fact that during the shipping time, I may need something thats in the luggage. And one other reason is that I can save myself a bit of money by taking it onto the plane "Granted I dont pack too much" and have to pay an extra fee  hehe!

Never done it but I am thinking it's going to be very expensive but I can only imagine how nice it would be just to get off the plane and go straight to the hotel! Let us know if you do it!

I would be more worried about the luggage not being there if I shipped it. And perhaps if it came before you checked in - the hotel would not accept it. And parcel post can take up to 10 days to get across the county. I wouldn't do it.

On our last trip to DLR, we shipped a large box of stuff back home. Mostly dirty clothes and souvenirs. Our minivan was already stuffed full on the way down. Grandma and Grandpa (my folks), of course, had to get stuff for their other 5 grandkids as well. To be fair, you know... :rolleyes1 . Anyway, we knew by the 2nd to last day, we weren't fitting everything back in the van. Bought a box and shipped things from a UPS store on Chapman, a bit west of Harbor. It wasn't too $$$.

When I go on business travels to Las Vegas or other destinations, I Federal Express my luggage to the hotel to arrive on the day of my arrival and check in.

Call the hotel first. Tell them you want to ship your luggage via UPS, Federal Express, DHL, etc. They will probably tell you to follow this:

Address the luggage as:

Disneyland Hotel & Resort
c/o Your Name, Guest to arrive on XX/XX/XX
1313 Harbor Blvd.
Anaheim, CA 92801

Make sure you put your phone number on the air bill.
