I'm really not a high maintenance girl, but I have my favorite toiletry items. No matter how hard I try to reduce the bulk in the suitcase, this stuff takes up too much room!! For the next trip, I have a new idea.
I'm going to FedEx my liquids/toiletries. Shampoo, conditioner, hair mousse, hair spray, sunscreen, lotions, aloe vera gel, liquid soaps for bathrooms (we're in a 3BR villa). We are a family of 6 with 2 teenagers, so this list can get lengthy when we include everyone's personal list. I'm shipping FedEx so that I can track the package and guarantee some delivery timeframe.
I am also going to bring in my suitcase the prepaid flat rate USPS shipping boxes to ship the items back home. I don't really care about the timeframe on the way home, and I think this will be easy to drop somewhere or leave at the front desk.
Anyone have a better idea than this? This will really free up some room (and some weight) in my suitcase!!
Oh, and since I'm shipping a box, I'm also going to ship a plastic lemonade pitcher (the type with a spiggot, cheap $5 from WalMart) and my favorite Sangria recipe.
I'll buy those liquid items when I get there!!
