I am looking for some advice about shipping prior to our arrival. We are awaiting the closing documents on our first DVC purchase - through TSS and have been dreaming:cloud9: of our next trip the the World and our first trip home in Oct. We are debating the Owner's Locker but DH is not onboard. Any info would help as he is worried about the stuff I already have listed to fill it up in addition to our ususal luggage. We have never rented a car but have used the Garden Grocer and LOVE the service!!!! So shipping crossed my mind but I have no idea where to begin!

1. How long before our trip do we need to ship? (We are in PA)
2. Where do I ship to?
3. Who do I talk with to coordinate the packages arrival?

Any other thoughts would be great!!!

1) 3 to 5 days before your arrival - ask the shipping company

2) the DVC resort you are going to - the address is on your reservation confirmation

3) when you arrive at the front desk ask about your package - but don't worry if you don't. the front desk is notified when your package arrives and it should be on the reservation.

on the label - put the hotel name, address, your name, reservation number, and date of arrival.

We bought a turkey, ham, and like 6 side dishes for our recent trip and had them shipped to the Boardwalk Villas address. Wife forgot to add our reservation # to the shipping label. It just had my name and the BWV address. Wife was told that the 3 large styrofoam boxes would arrive on the 22nd which was the day we were checking in.

It turns out the arrived on the 19th and they were held by the staff in the refrigerator. It was funny too as someone wrote on the boxes in big black marker "Hold for guest arriving 12/22 DO NOT USE."

I didn't realize that the refrigerator was that big. I was literally thinking it was like one I had at home, but the boxes were cool to the touch upon arrival and actually the ham and turkey were still frozen!

When we got our rooms at 5 pm on the 22nd, we started to unpack groceries and there was a knock on our door and it was the bellman with the 3 boxes. We never called or asked about the packages. They must have known we arrived and went ahead and brought them down to our rooms.

Thank you for the information - it sounds so much easier than lugging everything through the airports!!
