Shipping from a store within Disney

Has anybody tried this after they've returned back home?

I'm gutted that I didn't pick a 'Be our Guest' tea set up for my daughter. After being given Lumière to carry when we ate at Be Our Guest, the lady said she could get one of her own in the shop around the corner. We looked, but they'd sold out and all we could find was the tea set in a shop in Epcot. I left it hoping I could get the big Lumière that they have in the restaurant, but didn't get back to get it and now I'm left with neither.

The shipping on the US Disney site is almost $36, which I can't see it costing that in reality. Have I got any chance of getting one directly from the shop paying a more reasonable delivery charge? I'm sure I've read people have done it, but I wouldn't know who to get in touch with to see.

You probably can however the shipping won't be cheap (it will be in line with the US a Disney Store) plus you will most likely have to pay customs duty once it gets here.

As Tracy says shipping is not cheap, I stopped having stuff sent over years ago due to shipping costs.
Example a 3lb package with no dimension over 12" will cost $31, I can't see them doing it at cost, they will want something for packaging & time.

Also possible import costs, although I found using standard USPS didn't attract a fee, it was usually when I used couriers.

Yeah, my husband phoned and they do have the Lumière but want $40 to ship it. They said it should cost $70, but would be cheaper to ship it to someone in America and get them to send it on. The lady was quite abrupt and actually put the phone down on him, telling him it'd cost him a lot more if he bought it on Ebay with it only being available there.

It's just annoying because we did ask for help while we were there from concierge, but all he did was phone World of Disney, but they didn't even pick the phone up. I'd already been twice and couldn't face the parking and stuff again if they didn't have it there, so we never went back to see. I wish I'd have known at the time about Disney having a merchandise section to phone, then at least we could've got it shipped to the resort if the World of Disney had sold out as well.

your best bet would be to find a fellow DISer who's going in a near future, have them bring back the item, and ship it to you.

postage fees from the UK to France, (or if you can get it shipped to a UK adress) would cost much less, and potentially get rid of the duties issue.

Unfortunately not something that can be posted/requested on the forums. Due to people losing money in the past it was stopped by the DIS Webmasters.

The next time you find something out of stock ask a clerk for help. They can either see if they have it or let you know when it will be back in stock.

We did, but she just didn't seem to have a clue at first, then she said they did have some a while ago but they'd sold out. I've got a feeling Disney might rotate their staff within the shops because each time we asked someone for help they looked at us blankly? I wanted a yellow ribbon/bow at one point and thought Disney would surely have something to match the belle dresses, but I couldn't find much hair stuff or anything Yellow/gold to put in her hair. I ended up getting something from the kiosks on City Walk.

I'll probably end up paying the delivery after the shock has worn off a bit.
