Has anyone ever shipped food to arrive at your hotel the day you arrive? Is this cost effective?

but I have read many reports on the Budget Board and Resorts Board over time about people who have done this.

I've never read a report that was negative, only successful ones - usually people get snack foods and other light non-perishables at a savings that will offset the shipping charges. Compared with the prices of the on-site stores, it would seem to be a good way to save some $$$.

We have used netgrocer.com the last several trips to cut down on our food shopping time and bill. We have had nothing but great experiences w/them, and this includes a trip 2 weeks after 9/11 (they are a NY based company). I would highly recommend them :)
