Shipping bottled water to resort???

Hi everyone - I'm planning to order and then have shipped a few cases of bottled water for our next trip. Does anyone know.....

- how far in advance I should order - how long will the resort hold the package prior to arrival?

- best place to order from?

Love to hear anyone else's experience doing this or something similar!

I just order my water from COSTCO (Nestlé Waters Bottled Spring Water® 1/2-Liter 24ct $6.97 FREE S/H!) yesterday, we arrive @Pop next Monday 9/8 (apparently they will hold things you have shipped for up to a week before you arrive.)

Ship from costco 4 days before you arrive and it will be waiting for you there.

If you need other things too, not just water, you can order from gardengrocer.com. We always get breakfast items, snacks,water,etc. from them.

I ordered mine from Costco last Thursday (8/28). It will arrive at Pop on 9/2 according to my shipping/tracking. $6.97 plus $ .35 because I'm not a Costco member. Free shipping! I ordered earlier than normal because of Labor Day and things not running as usual. That's still only 5 days from order to delivery.

Previous years I ordered from Staples, but now they want to charge a shipping fee almost equal to the price of one flat of water!

I'll be ordering mine Tuesday for my 9/5 arrival from Costco.com. IF you go on the site, you have to search bottled water for it to come up. 4 days has always been perfect for us....it's been waiting when we arrive.

I had ordered from Costco on our recent trip. One of the best idea's I got off the tip board. You do want to put your arrival date or your reservation # somewhere on your shipping info. I just added our reservation # to our last name I think.

We ordered water from Costco (two since we were there for ten days and believe me we drank every bottle). We also ordered cheez its, oreos and Mrs. Field's cookies. Everything was waiting for us when we arrived. I orderd over the weekend and we arrived on Thursday.

We just ordered a case of water tonight from Costco for the two of us. I think we ordered a few days too early (we arrive 9/12), but I didn't want to get caught up and not get it in time. They offered the best price (I can't justify ordering from a grocery store and paying the fee for a case of water and a few yogurts/bananas. $6.97 plus fee and tax, came out to $7.90 total. Can't beat that!

You might want to call your resort and explain that you ordered early so that they'll hold onto it for you. The only hold packages for a week and yours should arrive this Thursday if not earlier.

Ordering a case of water from Costco was one of the best tips I've read! We ordered a case 5 calendar days before we arrived. We went straight to a park after arriving, and when we got back to our room later that evening, the water and our suitcases were in our room waiting for us. It was "magic"!! I added our arrival date to the shipping information, in case it got there before we did. It all worked out very well.

I'll give them a call, although my check in date is on the shipping label. Even if I call and tell them, there are so many people working there, I could get a different message each time, so I should be alright with the date on the package.

Don't forget to save your tracking number (and even better, delivery confirmation). The GF couldn't find our water at first, but they found it quickly when we produced the number and the name of the person who signed for it.
