Hi everyone,

We will be arriving in Disney on 10/7 and I want to ship a box to the resort. Can anyone tell me how soon I shoul send it and who have you used?

Thanks

We leave on Sunday I sent the box last Saturday and called YESTERDAY and it had arrived. I did PRIORITY MAIL at the post office huge box cost me about $20 to ship. Well worth it to not have the luggage weight go over and cost me $50!

We arrive on Saturday. I shipped my box UPS this past Monday for around $11 (all toiletries). It arrived at POP on Thursday.

We arrived on Sat Aug 12 and I shipped our box UPS ground on Friday Aug 4 and it arrived at POP on Wed Aug 8th. It was a HUGE box and it cost $34 to ship it.

An example would be: Box dimensions: 27" long, 15" wide, and 12" tall with a 50 lbs. weight = just about $18 for ground three day. We are actually considering shipping our luggage ahead, as well. With three children, 8, 4, and 2, it would be convenient and less stressful. Have to find out what the shipping will be for all our luggage. It may not be cost effective.

Be sure to put information such as: your name, CONFIRMATION NUMBER, arrival date, and "HOLD FOR GUEST ARRIVAL" on the outside of the box. I'm thinking about shipping Christmas trees ahead for our December "Gathering" trip.

We shipped a 50 pound box full of diapers, wipes, toiletries, etc last month via UPS for $37. We shipped Mon, it was there Thurs, we checked in Sun. Worked perfectly.

Just got home yesterday from Disney and was just going through my emails and saw this thread that I had subscribed to. FYI we shipped a box of diapers, formula etc to Coronado Springs. I put all the correct information on the box. Here was the issue. WHEN YOU GO TO RETRIEVE YOUR BOX be sure to tell the how you sent it. I sent it from the post office priority mail NOT FEDEX or UPS. Apparently these package go to different locations depending upon how they are sent. Just an FYI b/c I had called A FEW DAYS before we left for WDW and they said they received it and then while checking in they could not find it.

I was flying down when the liquid ban was still in full force. I shipped a package with the things I would or could possibly need the day I checked in so that if ME took a while, I'd be covered. Well I knew from my Priority Mail confirmation that it had arrived on Thursday. When I checked in they could not find it and it was not at the hotel. I was checked into my room, had my luggage and still did not have some of my essential toiletries. I was back from the parks and ready for bed before I actually had my box. Although it saved me packing space, I will not be doing it next time. There was too much confusion and it didn't really help me any after all.

try to make your box "stand out" so it can be found more easily - we used salmon pink paper on ours with all the information, as well as pictures of a favorite stuffed pig on all sides - when we went to the CR business center to pick up our fedexed box, all we said was "the pig box!" and they knew exactly which box was ours!!!
