I shipped my box 3 day delivery via UPS. It got there on Friday and we checked in on Saturday. In fact, when we got to our room, the box was in the room waiting for us! It was great! A money saver too as I shipped snacks and stuff so I didn't have to buy much in the way of supplies. Since we only had a studio there really wasn't any point in shipping lots of stuff. The biggest plus was, I then already had the box to ship back all of the stuff I bought so my suitcase wasn't that heavy!:scared1:

We shipped non-perishable items, so I shipped it one week in advance just to be safe. With UPS and FedEx you can track when it gets there. Definitely use one of these services, as I have heard that USPS brings the package to Disney's mail facility, but FedEx and UPS bring them right to the resort.

At the beginning of May I shipped a box via UPS to BCVs. I mailed it on Mon. and arrived at the resort on Sat. The box was in the convention center mail room. Any resort that has a convention center automatically receives boxes/packages shipped to that resort at the convention center. My box was 43 lbs. (I was stocking my new Owner's Locker) and I think I paid around $37. Bell Services at the BC retrieved my box and delivered it to my room -- there is a delivery fee charged by the convention center (it was $10) plus, of course, a tip for the bellman. All worth it to me.

I've never been charged a delivery fee and I've shipped to BCV several times. I've always noted my check in date and that I was in the villas.. maybe they assume that means DVC member and don't charge a fee??? Unless the fee is a new thing I'm unaware of???:confused3

We ship a box ahead for every vacation. We ship it USPS about 10 days prior arrival and it is always there when we arrive.

We just ask for it at check-in.

Don't know how new the charge is but I expected to pay it because of different threads I read here on the Disboards. I am a DVC member and I addressed it to myself, BCVs, reservation #, arrival date. I know that if you are staying at a resort without a convention center a fee is not charged.
