I am planning to ship a box to myself at ASMo. We are due to arrive on 12/5. :woohoo: FedEx is supposed to arrive 3 days after shipment. If I mail on Monday it would get there Thursday. Is that cutting it too close? Should I mail tomorrow just to be safe? Anyone had experience with this?

I am planning on sending my aerosol sunscreen and hairspray, glow bracelets, Pull-Ups and some room snacks too so I dont have to worry about it during air travel. Any thoughts on what else could be shipped? We wont have a fridge in the room.

Anyone have any bad experiences shipping to WDW? I don't want to get down there and not have suncreen or Pull Ups or any other essential items. I have just seen good reports on here but I am starting to get a little nervous.

Some of the resorts now charge $5-10 to delivery a package to your room. I found it was more cost effective to just pack an extra suitcase with all that kind of stuff in it and pay AirTran the $15 baggage fee. Any extras can be brought home without trying to cram it all into our clothes suitcases.

Really???

I thought people were shipping stuff from bottled water to groceries from places to the resort and picking it up when they check-in for no charge. At least that is what I remember from reading on the boards.

Have things changed? Maybe my info is outdated. :confused3

I've never been charged at the Swan and Dolphin, and have had a clothing order shipped from Hanna Andersson shipped directly to the Boardwalk Inn with no charge. It was in the room later the day we arrived. I didn't even have to call about that one!

I personally don't see why you'd ship water. Also, I am fair and have never used sunscreen in the later fall - but I sit in the shade at the pool.

Now, I have shipped snacks. As long as you have your name and the resort address, I think you are fine. The convention resorts have that stated to protect themselves from storing large amounts of items for those who are shipping things for convention displays. If it's just one box, I wouldn't worry.

Wait I just reread that article... It is only for Convention resorts! AMSo wouldn't be charging a fee so I take back what I said. Dang, I thought it was all deluxe resorts but that list doesn't have AKL on it! Oh well...
