We will be on the 11 night Southern California Fantasy cruise next summer.
I hear there may be behind the scenes ship tours. If so...

- what type?
- when do they take place?
- how long do they last?
- are you able to sign up prior to the trip?
- or sign up the first day?

And anything else I may need to know.

Thanks and cheers!

I've only known them to do two types of tours:

1) Embarkation day there is a "tour" that basically points out the main things: theatre, dining rooms, etc.

2) Then at various times during the cruise there is the adult-only Art of the Theme Show Tour that looks at little details that all contribute to the story that is Disney Cruise Line and your specific ship.

No sign ups - you just show up at the place designated in the Navigator.

Bridge tours pretty much haven't happened for security reasons for a long time. And I have personally never heard of Galley tours on Disney (some lines offer them for an extra fee).

Sorry there is no 11 night Southern California cruise next year on the fantasy. But we know you meant Southern Carribean cruise. A Southern California cruise does sound nice thou.

The only standard ship tours I can recall are the embarkation tour and the kitchen tour which will be listed in one of your daily Navigators so keep your eye out for those. However occasionally on some of the longer cruises DCL does offer tours of Walt Disney Theatre which is my absolute favorite. It is only for adults and you get to see all the various aspects of what DCL does to put on a show. From the controlling audio, lights, stage doors, the costumes, and props. This is my favorite tour and it did require a reservation so read your daily Navigator carefully. Enjoy your upcoming cruise.
