Wife and I and our 2 DD's (ages 4yr -almost 5 - and 1.5 yr old) along with my sister are fully booked and paid up for a 4 night cruise after having spent 8 days in WDW at the CBR.

Just skimmed through the titles of all the threads in this section and didn't see any for the same date as we are going.

Does this mean we will have the ship to ourselves?? :lmao:

Or is there something negative going on with that cruise that has everyone avoiding it like the plague, that I don't know about?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but my family and I will be there too. It does seem odd that there has been little written in this forum about this date/cruise.

It will be my families first DCL cruise and first ever cruise for my kids (son 7, daughter 12). We are all really excited with my wife down right giddy about the prospect of some rest and relaxation. It will also be very cool to experience the new changes to the ship coming out of dry dock several weeks prior.

After the cruise we will be heading back to WDW for a couple of days of fun while staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Hope to see you there.

We chose to do our days in WDW before going on the cruise. So we will actually be there Oct 28 - Nov 4 and then boarding the ship on Nov 5.

It's our first cruise ever as well.

Wife is already getting our pirate costumes ready for pirate night - just don't know what night it is.

Sounds like a great trip for you and your family.

Pirate Night is Tuesday (Castaway Cay day). We will get some pirate garb as well. My son and I have ordered two identical (and tacky) Disney Hawaiian shirts for the cruise. When in Rome...

This will be our first cruise as well, I've been doing a lot of reading on the cruise forum lately, we are very excited

Woohoo - only 3 families going so far!! We are going to have LOTS of the ship to ourselves apparently!! ;)

We'll make the 4th family with myself, dh and dd's ages 11, 9 and 7! It's the first cruise for our family - and we're all counting the days!

Palo reservations - Check; Kids signed up for the clubs - Check; Shore excursions at Nassau and Cataway Cay reserved - Check -- T Minus 75 days and counting! :hourglass

Pirate costumes are well on their way to being completed.
Kids signed up for Flounders and Oceaneers club. Swim gear ready.

Still deciding on how to get to port from the hotel. To take Disney bus or rent a limo, that is the question.

If the ship isn't that busy - oh well, all the more room for us!

The boat should be close to full I think. Our first cruise and we were thinking there might be a Florida resident discount if the numbers were low. But Novembers discounted dates came out without our cruise. Or well it should be well worth it. We will also be at WDW before, just four days at the Poly. Can't wait!! Was lucky to get everything we wanted lined up. (I think being online at 3:00am 75 days out was a small price to pay Ha, Ha) By the way Kids are ds9, dd7, ds5.

This will be our 2nd DCL cruise. Our first was on the Wonder last year during the same week. We loved it so much we booked this one while still onboard! Myself, DH, and two DS's - 13 and 8. We're bringing along first-time cruiser mother on this one too. Spending a few days at Saratoga Springs after the cruise. Hope to relax more on this trip - so much to do and so little time on the last one!

We're going to! (DD5, DD3, DS1) Also bringing 6 of our closest family members :sunny:

Seems to be a big convention time ar WDW...maybe there are corporate events on this cruise (since not a lot of activity here on the DIS, but no more discounted rooms either)

So I count 7 total so far!

We'll probably be easiest to spot on Pirate night. Canadian bandanas!

Hopfully "big convention time at WDW" doesn't mean packed to the gills ...

Hi! We are also going on this cruise too. We will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for a few days after the cruise too. ( I saw someone else mention this on this post) This will be our 4th cruise and we are so excited. We have only been on the 3 day cruises before, so an extra day with the 4 day will be nice.

It will be my husband and I and our 3 children: DD 8, DS 4 and DD 2.

Maybe we will get a chance to meet on the ship.

Yoho, yoho a pirates life for me...Pirate Night should be on Tuesday night if DCL hasn't changed their schedule.

Someone said something about the Wonder coming out of dry dock a few weeks prior to our cruise dates. Where did you hear/read about this? Thanks.

BTW, I have all the Navigators from last year's cruise on these same dates. I understand that DCL's modified the Navigator format since then, but they're still fun to look at. If anyone's interested, I can pdf them and forward them to you offline.

Is someone serious about a corporate event on this cruise?

Glad to see others on this cruise.
We are going with a large family.
15 of us total. 7 adults 8 kids

Hey, it's nice to see that others are going the same week. This will be my family's 1st Disney Cruise. My husband, myself and two daughters, age 12 and 6. My daughters are looking forward to meeting other kids their age.

Counting down the days!!!!
