Ship to ourselves? Nov 5-9, 2006

I bet now you're all really pumped up now! We're right above you on Deck 7. I'm guessing you booked a gty room if you just got your room assigned. Does booking this way save you money? What's the process? TA or DCL?

My family is booked for Deck 2 (an outside cabin), supposed to be located close to elevators - hope that's a good thing!!!.

Does anyone know how the weather usually is in early November in the Bahamas?? Hoping for really warm weather with sunny skies!!!!

Just bought new luggage for this trip, definitely excited!!!! :cool1:

We were on the Wonder during the same week last November and had the most fabulous weather. Low to mid 80's each day and not a drop of rain. I'm not sure if this was normal or if we just got really lucky though.

It's Sunday, October 7 and we are offically 4 weeks away from the cruise. The kids are excited which was not helped by the fact that they watched the Disney Cruise promotional DVD again today. My wife can't wait, but of course she works so hard, she needs a vacation.

Given all the updates to the Wonder during dry-dock, we should be going at the perfect time. New beds, sheets, carpets, Dumbotron, fresh coat of paint, etc.

The weather in the Bahamas should be great. There is a slight chance of bad weather given that it officially is still huricane season. Given its been such a quite huricane season (knock on wood), I am not worried. Besides, its better than the weather in Michigan in early November...

Thanks for the info on November weather in the Bahamas. My family is really getting excited, too. - Well, one daughter doesn't really want to miss school - she loves it (well, at least the social aspect of middle school that is). I'm sure once we get going though she will forget all about school at least for a few days.

The weather in Pennsylvania hasn't been too bad yet. Today is actually a really beautiful day with sunny skies and low 70's for temperatures. However, I'm sure by November it will be getting plenty cooler here.

Gcuff and DKrisak....We're just catching up on these posts and my 11 year old daughter is thrilled to see others her age will be on the cruise. She'd like to PM your daughters if it's ok with you. I think she's finally ready to share her excitement with someone other than me!

They would both really like that. What state are you from?

I think this is a great idea and I will talk about with my daughter. She has always been sociable and makes friends easily.

I am pretty computer savy, but I don't know what PM is (just shows you what I know)? My daughter emails friends all the time so this may be the best option. Let me know and I can send the email address.

mcchelse: My daughter is excited about the opportunity to communicate with your daughter about the upcoming cruise. Let me know the best way (email?) and we'll make it happen.

gcuff: Thank you for letting our daughters talk via PM. She has enjoyed reading your daughter's notes.

Hopefully, they will be able to meet somehow on the ship!!

Howdy everyone,
please excuse me for crashing your thread. Wish i was going with you too.
I just wanted to share some information with you about some changes on the Wonder starting tomarrow.
DCL will no longer have a live band at the sail away party or in Wave band club at night. you will have a DJ with recorded music. This may or may not be important for you, but a lot of us feel this is very unfair and that DCL sould not do this. We have always had a live house band.

There is a thread on the main forum page about this, titled Bad changes in Entertainment on the Wonder. It has 2 letters from DCL confirming these changes . They are about the 10th post on the thread.

I just wanted to let you know about the changes and invite you to write to DCL if you want la live house band back on the Wonder.
The address is: dcl.guest.communications@disneycruise.com
They also will have comment cards on board you can fill out if you wish.

Thankyou for your time, I appreciate you reading my post. Please check out the thread.

Again, i am sorry for crashing your thread, I just thought you might like to know this info since it will directly affect your cruise,

mom x4,grandma x4

Hi! I'm so psyched! We actually just booked this trip and we're really excited about it. It's our first cruise (and first Disney experience) so we've got a lot to learn in a short amount of time.

It'll be me, my husband and 2 children: DD-8 and DS-5. If anyone has a daughter around my daughter's age, I'm sure she would love to be able to communicate with you before we go! Let me know!

Can't wait to meet everybody!

Nicole

My DD 12 is happy that there will be a DJ. versus a live band. The kids seem to think that will be better!

We are attempting to input a picture for another forum reader my DD has been writing to via PM.

Tried to input picture, but it didn't work!! Oh well!!! :confused3

No problem. They seem to be generating a good conversation thread. The best time to meet would likely be sometime after the boat drill on day one. Let me check the times for the sail away party (not to be missed) and we can determine a time to meet. My suggestion would also be the Ariel statue in front of Tritons.

Based on these threads, my daughter has a friend to hang out with during the November 5th Wonder cruise.

Now are there any boys around the age of 7 going to be on board?

TA called, time to pick up docs. Going up to Atlanta for the NASCAR race next week, then I have to work for 4 days then our cruise vacation starts - back to back vacations :cool1:

Our TA has been on the phone with Disney the past 10 days as our documents have not been sent out yet.

We are getting a little nervous as we are leaving next Friday (Oct 27th) and heading to Seattle. Catching the flight in Seattle on the 28th and spending 8 days in WDW prior to the cruise.

So far all I know we have for certain are our MNSSHP. TA is AAA as well. Oh well, hopefully everything will work out. Just can't understand why Disney has taken so long to send stuff out considering we paid in full for this trip months ago ...

DD 4 (almost 5) is pretty excited. DD 18 months doesn't really understand yet.
DW (I'm not saying her age as she lurks) is VERY excited. Me, I'm so far behind at work I think I'm first. Where did the time go???
