SHHHHH!!!!! It's A Surprise Wedding!!!

Yes Mozart you are correct, the mear mention of alcohol sends the thread in a different direction (my drink is warm now be back in a minute)....

Back to the wedding...

I e-mailed our wedding coordinator and she gave me some info...Apparently they "hand you off" about 3 weeks prior to sailing. Has anyone had an experience with this and can you tell me how smoothly it went?

It's interesting how bringing up alcohol makes a thread take off, isn't it?

And no, the bottle of Brut is not really 3 years old. I'm not even sure that it's Korbel to be honest with you. We bought it for some friends on New Year's Eve last year because we figured they wouldn't be able to taste it anyway and we owed them some liquor. Problem is, they separated right at Christmas time so the joke was on us. Now we're stuck with a bottle of crap we don't really want.

And no...those are not mini-bottles we're talking about. She likes her Amaretto (of course, I don't think it's half bad myself.)

I can tell work is being as productive for everyone else today as it is for me.

Ok... coffee with Amaretto, Frangelica and Amaretto with some whipped cream just for show is REALLY GOOD!!! (and I really don't drink that much!!!) ( I studied for college exams on that combo...) (and passed...)

Joel... you hit 100 posts... have a drink!!!

kidding....

OMG....I can't wait to read more....I so wish we were on your cruise...it would be fun to see you on board and to know your "little" secret!!!!!!!

Joel, you are quite possibly the most romantic man in America! I came across this thread by accident and I am hooked-and teary!!

Thank you all for being so kind...The days are ticking away and getting even closer. Anyway, I'll keep you all informed as we go. I only hope that I don't bore you all to tears before we sail.

Good tears only hear! DH started making naughty comments to get me to stop being mushy!

You are such a delight, Joel! You and your wife's story is just romantically awesome...all around! Thanks for sharing with us!!

Couldn't agree more! The pictures of you and your wife, as well as your children, are beautiful! What a wonderful story!

Well SHE wants to order a pair of the free panties in the picture!!! :rotfl2:

:rotfl: How funny that Tink noticed this! Even your dog is cute!

OMG....I can't wait to read more....I so wish we were on your cruise...it would be fun to see you on board and to know your "little" secret!!!!!!!

I wonder how many people on your cruise will know and be winking ;) at you and your family as you walk down the deck! Good thing your wife is in on it!

What a truly touching story this is! I even told my DH that it makes me want to do a 20 year anniversary thing in a couple of years. Thanks for sharing and putting my DH to shame!:lmao:

Well, other than those free pair of panties I'd be wearing (The dog will have to get her own!!!)

I'd have to resist skipping down the hallways singing "I know something you don't know!!!)

Hey Joel...

Don't forget to get some decorations for your door (remember magnets...) with the "Just Married" Theme!!!

I wonder how many people on your cruise will know and be winking at you and your family as you walk down the deck! Good thing your wife is in on it!

I know of one who will...

I'd have to resist skipping down the hallways singing "I know something you don't know!!!)

Yeah, it's gonna be interesting. I'm thinking about saying something like "Hey, I heard you two got married a few months back..."

In case you're wondering, Joel. Now would be the proper time to offer me a bribe. :)

Yes that's us. The older kids are from our first marriages, and the littlest one is all ours.

Mozart, I know as a fellow Diser, I can trust you to not ruin our surpirse, it's not me you'd have to worry about, it's the DW. Good luck.

NOt counting today only 79 days to sail...and 82 until the wedding...

Joel... Just give him a bottle of Dom...

With a straw...

And he'll go quietly into the night...

I promise...

But then again... I won't be on board... otherwise... 2 straws!!!

I had a few minutes at work to catch up with all of you....especially you Joel. You all crack me up. :rotfl2: but it is good to see people having a great time!!! Joel, what's your anniversary date? did you post it and I forgot, I will have to look back......anyway....our 20th is January 23rd 2008. Can't wait to hear more about your adventures as we await our vow renewal on the Magic.

Mozart.....you can't drink champagne after a year or so, unlike a fine wine, it is not meant to age and should be drank, ? drunk ? , as soon as possible. So drink up man and buy new stuff for September.

I will say it again, wish I was on this cruise with you guys. :yay:

So, I may or may not have told all of you, but my mom has been a great help with keeping this a secret...She is now convinced that the reason we are taking everyone on this cruise is because she turns "60" in December and this is her "Birthday Cruise."

Sure mom whatever you want to believe...:rotfl:

This idea will keep her busy for the next 2 months before we sail. She tells everyone that's why we're taking her. So we'll play along and even have a cake for her while onboard.

That takes a little pressure off of us...

Anyway, I feel terrible about misleading her, NOT!!!:rotfl2:

Stay tuned...

Hey Joel...

You should even order the decorations for her stateroom!!! Give her the whole treatment... good thought on the cake... I was going to suggest that.

Give her a "party" the 2nd night you are at sea (that way it won't interfere with your plans... well, not really...) Have the cake, sing happy birthday and then tell her you lied to her all these months!!! (But you STILL love her!!!

I lied to my mother for MONTHS before her 70th birthday... and I LIVE with her!!!

I think She'll forgive you. I would.

My DW decided to order custom M&Ms as part of the "goodie bags" for our guests...Although I thought it was a great idea, I have to say they certainly are expensive. Between the minimum amount you have to buy and the shipping and all that it was a little overboard.

But when she asked I couldn't say no. So they should be here by the end of July and stored away until we cruise.

The happy cruisers are up to 17 total. Our number seems to climb regularly. More people to watch the kids I guess...

So, what else has been happening? Well it's as hot as all get out here in Central Florida. But the anticipation of getting on with this cruise and wedding make it all worth while. Just about all of the pre-wedding appointments have been made, including hair, nails, spa and of course the boys night out before the bash..

Well just a short update for now...I am actually at work this weekend, trying to catch up.:surfweb:

AAh.... Joel........

& the GIRL's night out is WHEN???????

I guarantee that your M&M's are alot CHEAPER than MINE were!!!

(Of course I spent the afternoon at the M&M store in Manhattan waiting to see Mary Poppins on Broadway...)

So... what colors did you order and what did you put on them??? and do I get the left overs?

We got our shipment of M&Ms yesterday thanks to the UPS man. The came out great, expensive, but great...Can't wait to see how DW presents them in the gift bags...

So a whole 8 weeks from Sunday and then the big splash...Yep starting to get a little nervous. Not sure why, we're already married. Guess it's the anticipation of seeing the expression on everyone's face when they get the invites...:rotfl2:

I can honestly say that I think the concierge crew is going to get a workout on this cruise. Between them and the Wedding Coordinator I'm not sure who'll have it worse.

The littlest one finally has a suit to wear, and oh my God does he look great. I think he's going to make his old man look bad. So the three boys (ME DS1 & DS2) will be wearing similar suits, my DW did a great job finding colors that were really close.

So as time goes on, I'm sitting here at home in the office, trying to get some work done...Listening to the Castaway Club CD and running Daddy Daycare (yes the 3 of them are all home with me today) No rest for the weary. They are great though, just hope they don't blurt out the wedding to my mom when she gets here in September.

Back soon with more info...

How exciting!!! I can't wait to hear about your families reactions.
