Hey guys! We are finally going back to Disney World!! Let's get this PTR started, shall we?

Let's go over the basics:

Who: Myself and my 3 kiddos (last trip was April 2014) and my mom!!!! She hasn't been since 1990!
When: March 19th- 27th, 2016
Where: We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside

Now, here's the FUN part. My mom doesn't know she's coming. She runs a home daycare, and she never goes on vacations because she feels that she needs to be reliable, and always open for business. So, I went behind her back and spoke with all the parents, and they are all on board. So she has the week off (with pay), but doesn't even know it!! I am also not telling my kids A) because they would tell her and B) because I want this to be a surprise for them, too. They know we are going, just not that grandma is coming with us.

I booked our ADRs this week and here's what we've got (in no particular order):

1900 Park Fare (dinner)
Chef Mickey (breakfast)
Ohana (breakfast)
Hoop Dee Doo Revue (dinner)
Akershus (breakfast)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Be Our Guest (dinner)

Even though it's QS, I also booked Be Our Guest breakfast one morning :)

One of the things my kids LOVED about our 2014 trip was the character meals, so I wanted to make sure and do as many as possible again on this trip. Three of these restaurants are new to us... we are repeating Akershus, Ohana, Crystal Palace, and Be Our Guest (although we only had lunch there last time).

For our park days, we are planning 3 days in Magic Kingdom, 2 days at EPCOT, 1 day at Animal Kingdom, and I am debating a Hollywood Studios day, but right now I think we may skip it. IF we decide to go to HS one day, then we'd have 2 days in MK instead of 3. Our last trip we had 2 MK days and 1 EPCOT day, but we really needed more time for both parks. Our 2nd MK day was ruined by a VERY cranky 3 year old, so we only got about 3 hours of park time. Our only EPCOT day was again ruined by a cranky 3 year old, so we did Future World, then had to leave. We didn't see any of World Showcase, except the little bit we saw on our way to Akershus and a very quick walkthrough during PM EMH when everything was closed. This time, that child will be 5 1/2, plus there will be another adult with us, so hopefully we can avoid meltdowns.

Something we really enjoyed on our last trip was the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. The kids asked if we can do that again, but I need to see when we get closer what the budget looks like. With my son being a "Disney adult" now, and my mom coming with us, it's already a little more than I am comfortable spending. I plan on trying to make some extra money by selling things we no longer need and picking up extra shifts at work to help pad the budget a little bit. If I can do that enough, I will add it on.

If you read my TR from our April 2014 trip, you know that we drove. I hated it. The drive itself wasn't that bad, but when we arrived I was exhausted, but my kids were ready to go. So I drove 16 hours straight, took a 2 hour nap, then spent 8 hours at Animal Kingdom. Not fun. My mom doesn't drive, so this trip will be the same (me driving 16 hours straight), but I didn't plan a park day on our arrival day this time, so my mom can take the kids to the pool while I get some sleep!! Plus, my GPS and google say the trip should only take 13 hours, so maybe this time we will make better time. Not sure where the extra 3 hours came from (but it was 16 hours back as well). I only stop for gas. Who knows.
