Papa Deuce, you are NOT supposed to tell everyone about Knoebel's! It's our secret amusement park! If you tell everyone, there will be long lines next time you go! L107ANGEL What are we going to do with him? :confused3

Anyway, all I want to know is did you have some soft raspberry ice cream? We were just camping at Knoebel's last month for 3 days. Had a great time!

I love the fact that there are benches EVERYWHERE you go in the SHADE!!! That being said, if I had to chose, Disney's my choice!!

Ssshhh, why not PM me instead of bumping it? :teeth:

I have never been there even though it is blocks from Dh's GM and other family. I do have to agree about Hershey's hills and lack of shade though. It is a nice place and with the season passes we can go when ever we want.

Can't wait to take them to Disney though. I am sure they will be in Love!!!! I have been down since 92 and Dh and family since the 80s.

We also enjoy spending a day at Knoebel's. We take our DD every year right before school starts. We are actually going there next Monday. It is only about a two hour drive for us and it is a great way to spend the day. But I can't say I enjoy it more than Disney.

Delgrosso's is and Lakemont too!!! I was born in Altoona and my whole family is still there. Love love love Delgrossos fall festival. I remember when it was Blands park....and the greasy yummy pizza they sold by the slice....oh boy and the train....having a nostalgic moment here in Ohio, that is one of my favorite places to go when I visit family. I remember a few years ago when my cousins were complaining that the price for a all day wristband had gone up to 8.95.....lol :rotfl2: Our closest park is Geauga Lake at a whopping 30 bucks each. I'll take the small family parks any day.

We live about 45 minutes from Knoebels and usually get there at least once a year. DSs' high school band always plays there in June. I wish it was just a bit closer so my teenagers could work there. Wouldn't that be a great summer job? Glad you had a fun time at "the grove!"

Well hello there former neighbor

I LOVE Delgrosso Park too. I always call it Bland Park though. I just can't get used to the family changing the name.

I love their sloppy joes too. I've never tasted better anywhere. I keep meaning to check the grocery store to see if they carry a Delgross sauce for it. Maybe one day I'll remember. I do LOVE their pizza sauce though. I know it's sold in all the grocery stores around here. Next trip home, try it, you might want to buy some to take home. That's if it's not sold in Ohio?
