I just decided to order the photopass+ CD so I can have all of our photos. I hope we get it. They say to allow 14 days for delivery and we leave in 13(!!!).

No Kook, no official weirdo list, but if there was I would be on it :rotfl:

Dani, how are you, the doctor clear you to go back to work? How are the kids, healthy? So excited for you , you are the next to leave.

So I'm new to the Resort Changers board here, but I am ALWAYS changing my mind...about ADRs, our itinerary, resort, etc. Right now we're booked at CBR for 9/8-9/15 in a pirate room. (DS5, DD16mo, and DH). This was a change from our original POR reservation. Now I'm thinking of upgrading to BC...or 5 nights at CBR and 2 nights at Poly. Thoughts?? Never stayed at CBR or BC before.

Hello! :wave2: You'll fit right in here... :thumbsup2

I can't offer any advice on CBR but I adore the Beach Club. Your DS would love the pool, I bet. The Poly would be fab too with the lil' one, especially being on the monorail. I'm of no help whatsoever! :lmao:

I'm cleared with a referral to a rumatologist to see why I'm always in pain, but it's already been said I probably have fibromyalgia because my mom has it. :(
Kids are happy and healthy. I took the princess to lunch after the doctor today and there were some stores so I picked up some new sippy cups for our trip. I can't believe we are so close already! Someone from the August FB group said she ordered her FP+ CD last Wednesday and it arrived today so now I'm at ease about that. If all else fails I can fib and say I forgot the package at home. I'm sure since you can buy the package at the World they'd be able to accomodate me.

Welcome!!! I LOVE CBR! Seriously and I think a CBR/Poly split is PERFECT! Those are 2 of my favorite resorts! You can get away with the 2 full size beds at CBR since your kids are so young. Your DD may be in a pack n play, but I have to plan a bed for mine because there's no way in heck the queen is going to sleep on anything that isn't a bed! :snooty: I spoiled her as a newborn and now I can't get rid of her! :rotfl:

:rotfl: My DH is still going on and on, why the kiddos need new backpacks every year...uhhh cause they do, like new school shoes :goodvibes

Makes perfect sense! Hmm, got me thinking: perhaps backpacks are the precursor to purse obsession for the girls? :teacher: Shoe-obsession has no "gateway drug" it seems. :lmao:

Thanks for the reminder - need to order a couple things for the cruise by the end of the day!

Did you nab any goodies?! :)

Miss: Love the sounds of the Brave backpack....good thing we already have the Minnie ones!:rolleyes1 Now just need to find one for DD8, she is older you know and needs something different!!;)

What will DD8 go for, ya think? :)

I just changed our stroller for the trip...does that count as changing??? LOL! We are going from a double to a single for DD3. Thinking it will be much nicer not to have to push a tank this year!!

Haha, that counts to me! :thumbsup2

Hubs is desperately trying to get us to leave our umbrella stroller at home for this hopefully-happening trip. I just don't think our kiddo would have the stamina for all of that walking -- even with taking it slow and taking lots (LOTS) of breaks. :confused3 So, in the interest of less whining and a more pleasant time for everyone, I've convinced him we could park it at the beginning of each of the "Lands" / areas and reclaim it when we're headed out of that particular area. Not sure if that makes sense or not, but he's always the one pushing so it sounded good to him. (I reminded him about walking to DHS from BC and through the WS -- how long those walks were and how she'd be tired before we got to do anything. He agreed.)

jennyjinx and missoutandabout, love the pictures of you costumed up for the MNSSHP!!!

Thank you. :goodvibes

Basketlacey: How'd the room turn out?! I love that sorta stuff!

Too bad about the dining plan and signatures - we've been using TIW lately, so I sometimes forget about the dining plan structure. Unless something changed recently, Il Mulino and Bluezoo only accept TIW and not DP. Boo!

Our favorite one-credits in World Showcase are probably Via Napoli and Chef's de France. Our two older boys currently identify Chef's as their favorite restaurant in Epcot. I'm also coming back around to San Angel Inn, because I think it's improved since La Hacienda appeared. I like both. For our quick MNSSHP trip, we have ADRs for Via, Chef's and San Angel. Between those three, I think it just depends on which menu you prefer. We just love dinners in World Showcase, Illuminations and a stroll around the Boardwalk in the evening. :) Then you'll usually find my husband at the B&C take-out ordering chocolate malts for boys who should already be sleeping!

P.S. Not living there anymore, but grew up in NoVa!

We do love Chef's de France. We can totally scrap Captain's Grille and go to WS for dinner. It's just a short walk.

I grew up on the Jersey Shore. (Fist Pumpin') LOL We had some of the best Italian food ever (evah). We like it here

So here's what I have booked....

BC SV CL with 35% off...9/28-10/1 $1250ish
RPR CL with 40% off same dates $670

Are you seeing my dilemma...so HRH wants 1 night BC/2 nts RPR. Problem is the US discount has a 3 nt. minimum...so

Plan A~ RPR, Mears to hotel & back (or rental car so I can do the MNSSHP)
Plan B just stay BC :confused3

So since I can't decide...I am keeping both reservations ;)

I got a mailer for May too, but the discount ended May 20 (right before our trip) How can I say no to 200 bucks for a CL room!!!:headache:

It's typical me, working too much. And using up all my energy and reserve for my babies...I will make it up to him at Disney!!!!

Okay you sound a lot like me earlier. We decided on 3 nights at PBH (or is it R) only because Hard rock was booked solid. We stayed at RPR last year. The rooms are small but we LOVED the hotel and my DS's both loved the pool at night. I've been hanging out on the transportation thread trying to figure out car rental info. There are some GREAT deals for Alamo rentals. We were able to rent a car for 1 week (7 full days) for $79 full sized. We like to rent a car so that we can get to Disney early and we can go on a grocery run. We will turn the car in at the Dolphin and take the ME when we finally check out of the YC.

Oh, I gave up on getting a room at CR and switched back to YC last night. I was afraid that if I waited too close to time to go, I would lose any chances of booking a regular room (no CL) especially since there is a new room discount out now.

My diva doesn't like sleeping in a pack n play, so I requested a crib. Hopefully that helps the sleeping at night. She just started to nap on a cot at daycare, but still in a crib at home. Last time we stayed at a hotel (not Disney) she slept most of the night in her stroller because she refused to sleep in the cheap version of a pack n play they had (even though she was completely exhausted). NOT a fun night.

Good morning resort changers!!! I'm new to this thread, but I feel better for having found it.....my name is Jill, and I'm a resort changer! :rotfl:

It all started with our first trip in 2010.....we went big...GF and deluxe dining. Well, it spoiled us. We got a 40% off code, so let's be honest, it was a good choice! It was a September trip, so with the pin code, it was downright reasonable! But it may have ruined us for anything else.

Fast forward to plans for our 2013 trip....clearly,since we're going in June, we are at a higher rate and less likely to see the 40% code. So....the dilemma is what do we pick now? And I'm turning my DH insane over thinking this. :rolleyes1

I first thought WL. It's close to MK, so it's kinda like being on the monorail again....just without the monorail.....then we priced out the YC. I loved it, but my DH wasn't sure it would feel like a Disney vacation since we weren't near MK. good lord man, really? Then we priced out CR since it actually IS on the monorail. And while gorgeous, it didn't feel like Disney to me or him. :confused3

So that's my dilemma.....and all the while, I know he wants to go back to the GF, but it's just not in the budget. I'm really leaning towards the YC but I think he's leaning towards CR. oh, and a split stay is out of the question. So it's clear I belong here with other kindred spirits of change!!!! :). I'm pretty sure in the end we shoul put each of the 3 on pieces of paper then blindfold ourselves and throw a dart. If anyone has suggestions for each of these 3, I welcome ALL and any input!!!!! ;)

Welcome :welcome: Always changing is what we're all about over here....

BC is awesome. Go or it!! I'm having Poly issues over here but others have been very convincing. I love the theme but it is so popular that I'm concerned with pool overcrowding. You won't feel overcrowded at SAB. On the flip side, with the ages of your little ones, monorail to MK would be great. I've heard that CBR is very large and that they have multiple bus stops within the resort so getting back to your room may take longer BUT the rooms look awesome!

:welcome: Early morning changer!!!! You have found your people!!!!! :goodvibes I've been trying to book CR for 6 months so my advice to you is if you think that you might want CR, book it early. The resort is a convention resort and fills up at times. GF is a tough act to follow BUT the theming at all of the resorts is so different that you can still have the Disney feel at any of the resorts. YC is lovely!!! If you like the feel of GF, then you will like YC. IMO, there is a different "feel" in the epcot resort areas. I like it! There is a little more "relaxed" feeling with the lighthouse and walking on the boardwalk. MK has more of a "busy" feeling. Always active and busy. I love going to MK but staying in the area is hectic at times. LOVED the WL. Staying off of the monorail made WL a quiet option in the MK area. I love the size of WL It is a smaller resort but BEAUTIFUL. Fortunately you have a little time.... Hold off on the Dart Throwing or a little while....:rotfl:

just popping in to say
50 days to go!!!:cool1::hyper::yay::banana:

now i must go and pop in on Poly thread to say the same thing!! LOL

Good Morning All

pas Bree looks adorable in her new glasses, love the color

StepDisney

Reading over your post and your comment about booking CR is so true. We are booked at BWI but I kept checking CR for my dates and yesterday there it was BLV w/FD but.......Bob wants to keep BWI . It is still there today and he said do what you want to. Now I can't change I feel like if I do I am being selfish and I really want to stay in a TPV :confused3. Wish someone would snatch it up making the choice to stay at BWI for me :rotfl:

Pas: Oh, how flippin' ADORABLE! She is so pretty -- good job, mommy! Also, tell her one of the RCing Spectacle Experts said her glasses are "very, super stylish."
 Thank you!!! You know what I realized...HRH has the same specs...just in Pink (remember the Ray Bans pic kook?) I attempted to get all 3 girls yesterday. Only Bree let me take a pic...if you ask her, she will say she's the cutest ;)
pas: Bree is absolutely adorable!!!
Thanks Amanda  She knows it too!

I really want to know the EMH for January. Not like it matters because I'm only going to MK.
:rotfl2:

Add me to the weirdo list (JC, are you doing one of those, too?)

In the morning, I pass over 95 and I always look at the traffic heading south and wish I was down there heading to FL. I also wonder how many cars down there are heading to WDW (and they all have NJ plates)

YES! It was well overdue! Her glasses rock, but the face they're on is even prettier

Is some vaseline on the scab at night alright, Jeanette? I must set the record straight, while I posted the fancy parasol photo, the idea was entirely pas130's. BTW, I love your parade of maids photo - too cute!
I am partial to Aquaphor....but yes vaseline :goodvibes You are the bestest!

Us Jerseyans drive through NoVa to wave to our friends :drive:

RC weirdo list.....that is a list I am proud to be on :lovestruc
OMG Bree is GORGEOUS! I think she looks like her mama.
 Maybe just a little...

I just decided to order the photopass+ CD so I can have all of our photos. I hope we get it. They say to allow 14 days for delivery and we leave in 13(!!!).
So you'll have it when you get back...I ordered $1 flipflops for DH which came in the day after we left of course...IMO you'll get it before that.

No Kook, no official weirdo list, but if there was I would be on it
You'll be in super great company!

I updated the trip list on page 1...THANK YOU!!!

Your DS5 will love the pirate rooms. I am not a huge moderate fan, but lots of peeps love it there...BC vs. Poly...that's tough...with 16mo old. I would decide which park you want to walk to...and the pool at BC might be better with the little ones. Plus BC has better discounts than Poly..that said...I prefer the MK side...yep I'm no help either. BUT WELCOME!!!!!!
I probably have fibromyalgia because my mom has it.
:worried:
Makes perfect sense! Hmm, got me thinking: perhaps backpacks are the precursor to purse obsession for the girls? :teacher: Shoe-obsession has no "gateway drug" it seems. :lmao:

Purses ans shoes.....yep we love them. My girls get my old purses. Plus its a great excuse to buy a new one!!!!!

Tell DH a stroller is a must (tell him pas said so) I mean even if you just push it with the drinks in it...at least you'll have it for the walk back. Instead of your DD on Daddy's shoulders...that usually seals the deal..;)
I grew up on the Jersey Shore. (Fist Pumpin') LOL We had some of the best Italian food ever (evah). We like it here
::yes::

Never give up step! I have all kinds of offers for rental cars...it's hard tp pick as HRH really wants CL, and for 1/2 the price we can get CL...plus she really loves RPR...right now funds are low..so I'm still hanging onto both until after DH & I come home

NOT a fun night.
I was able to get cribs at GF and AKL...but no where else. When my DS was 1ish and he spent 1/2 night in the pack & play...other half in the bed with me...the others never would do the pack & play :faint:

YC is great...it's different than the MK side BUT walking to Epcot is almost better than the monorail. Plus that Amazing pool. I'm staying WL in August...but kook has a fantastic thread, and it looks amazing! I would pick WL over CR, just for the grounds. June is HOT HOT HOT an you'll be spending downtime at the resort...

I know it's a budget buster, BUT GF construction should be done by June, so that would be my pick.

Wow, I am truly NO help today! Welcome to the family BTW, I am planning for 2013 for F&G...who knows where we will end up :rolleyes1

I know EXACTLY what you are saying about CR being booked up! If it's not available, its not meant to be, right?

I realized today thay the AP rate was better for my BC stay so when I called to change the rate I switched to YC. Guess I had to get my money's worth for the call. :rotfl2:

I know I said I wouldn't do YC CL again, but I've eaten my words before and I'm sure I'll do it again. :lmao: DH won't stay without CL and I'm still not ready for the BC.

kook - see you in the lounge!

stepdisney - what are your actual YC dates? I can't remember if you are doing YC or PBH first.

pas - Bree looks adorable!

I hope MM is enjoying her last full day at WL!
