:wave2: I am home, laundry done, refrigerator restocked, just trying to catch up on life having been gone for 2 weeks. My current challenge is trying to prepare for a presentation tomorrow night and to prepare for a class I am co-teaching on Saturday. I am actively involved in USA Swimming, my daughter's both swam and I am still volunteering as a official at meets. I am on the NJ Swimming Official's Committee and the fall is a busy time for us, teaching classes, setting regulations etc.

Jenny, great photo! Wish I was back at the BC with you ladies and your lovely families! :grouphug:

pas, Happy Belated Birthday to Brian! party::bday:party:

Grumpy, great job on the walk! You should be so proud of yourself. Glad you were able to escape to Lake Tahoe, my DD who lives in Palo Alto says it is sooo hot there. I think it's probably worse in Sacramento!

Mousemommy, congrats on your DD's first acting role :cheer2:

KOOK, got an email from IPO at the WL today :goodvibes I will need to get your thoughts on a good room request!

I know I have missed a lot of people. Sorry. To everyone I missed :wave2: and :grouphug:

Hi Sarah! :wave2: Glad you like the pic! You sure sound like one busy lady! I am jealous you will be back at WDW so soon, but hopefully we will not be too far behind you!

If anyone flys Frontier..there is a code for 25% off until May 15th...SPRING25, I think AirTran has a fall sale too...

Funny that Jeanette mentioned CR garden wing, I was just looking into that as an option for our Jan/Feb trip, not that there is anything wrong with YC or WL, but you know I need to keep my options open

Melissa, what's funny is CR wasn't even on my radar...I was thinking of one night close to the MK, since we are doing MVMCP and Wishes dessert party our last night, so I will have 3 tired, sugar overdosed Princesses...I looked up WL, and CR GW was a few dollars less than CY BB at WL...so after some RC consults....made the change :upsidedow

So...question for you all...what value is better for DH and I on an adults only weekend for May 16 - 19?
POP :flower3: DH and I took a late night stroll, very romantic, quiet by the lake, all lit up the resort is so pretty :goodvibes

I'll watch the girls...drop them off in Jersey!!! We can go have tea with janet & sarah...maybe dani!!!! :grouphug:

I'm NOT trying to steer you in a different direction, but I was wondering if you had considered the Swolphin. I've never stayed Value or Swolphin so I apologize if I'm suggesting something that's not right, but I've seen some really good discounts and I thought someone once posted 'aboot' a Canadian discount? Then you and DH could walk right to Epcot and enjoy the BW, too:
That's a great idea, especially for SWW!!! But Suolphin throws in a lot of fees, no DME (but Mears is cheap for 2) I was looking at rates with theNurse discount but I guess being so close to F&W with my dates, I could book BC GV for just 40 dollars more...ugh..I am NOT helping poor Jen am I???
We are 47 days out :) there is a possibility we will go in December as chaperones for the band :) Thursday we leave for Indiana to see Brendan for the weekend...my mom is coming down from Michigan so that will be great too
We are JUST missing each other  How cool to get to go back with the band!!!:) I hope you get picked pixiedust:

All this talk has now got me contemplating a change to our January - LM room ressie. :scared:

Hubs and I stayed up 'til 1am talking about Disney last night -- not just me talking to myself either. :crazy2: We talked in circles about what time of year we wouldn't mind going. It's tough to meet both the "low crowds" and "big discount rooms" at the same time. :rolleyes2 Chit-chatted about possibly doing April for Miss M's birthday or pushing September back until November, but then we'd miss the Halloween party. :confused3 I'm open to suggestions!
April, flower & garden!!! If you do end of April, less crowds (I think)...and if you do November, Christmas party!!!!! And lower crowds..November will probably have better discounts than April!!!! :scratchin

Hmmm.... didn't I tell you to go with December my friend?? :upsidedow

Wow ... I'm no #1!! :cheer2: Thanks Pas and... love you  P.S. you're no 1 in my book too

(FYI I do believe the Allstars get more of tour groups than POP, with mods even getting some as well.).

Yeah...I had the pleasure of CBR during Cheer Nationals :crazy2: (no offense to the cheer moms)

70s was super quiet..we were top floor.

And I wanted December too...just wasn't in the cards..2013

Welcome back Sarah  I wasn't sure if you were busy with the Dr... or resting...but WOW, try to rest somehow in that busy schedule of yours ::yes::

Okay so for May I think it is between Pop, and renting points to stay at a standard studio at the Boardwalk. Thinking the boardwalk is easy access to HS for SWW, and Epcot. Also a bit of night strolling would be neat there. Also, it is somewhere we have never gone with the kids...so that might make it easier!!

But Pop is cheaper....hmmm:scratchin:coffee:

The standard studio at BW isn't a lot of points compared to the other villas...I know, I've checked ;) Pop is awesome too...JMHO

I do like the sounds of Pop, and will we really be at the resort at night....or closing down the parks??:p I am thinking the last if we are without the kids.

what do to??? :confused3

DH and I were ready & excited for our couple stay at Pop...until I got bitten by the CL bug...again :confused3 But he was all ready to grab the Mickey waffles for breakfast, and buses are easy peasy when there are no strollers, or tired kiddos....:thumbsup2

I just got an email from DH, he votes to keep it cheap and cheerful at Pop...:goodvibes Will leave us more $$$ in the Vacation budget for a summer cottage trip, and then Dec. Thanks Jeanette for your input!

Off to work now. DD3 cried when going in to school today...UGH!!! She was fine until she saw her little friend was sad, then both of then started the waterworks together. I just wish she was happy about going to school. Ah well...she'll get through it. :guilty:

Hi and Bye to all!:grouphug:

Have a great day Jen!!! At least DD has someone to cry with  Too much!!! You're very welcome!!!! And save some $$ for Mango Margaritas at the pool bar!!!!!!!!!!! :cloud9:

Upon reading some of my recent posts, I knew what I had to do.....

On our April trip....we will return to WILDERNESS LODGE CLUB LEVEL!!!! :dance3::yay::woohoo:

I'm thinking about keeping this secret from the girls....they wanted WL soooo badly but were trying to be good sports about going elsewhere.

I got off the phone and nearly cried from happiness!!!!! :dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer:party:

YAY!!! :yay::yay::yay:

Melissa, and you could steer clear of mil....I have one of those too.

I told DH that if there is a silver lining to being in pain and bed all weekend, that is was truly that I said about 3 words to MIL and didn't even have to hug her :rotfl:

Hubs and I stayed up 'til 1am talking about Disney last night -- not just me talking to myself either. :crazy2: We talked in circles about what time of year we wouldn't mind going. Let's see what was I thinking when I read this, oh yeah, LOL, just know that April and November will be more higher rates than in September. Our YC room (same category) was about $90 more per night in Oct and Nov than it was in September. Also April can still be busy because of all the different spring breaks. However, with that said we usually go in April anyway for DD's bday

Melissa you mentioned bad experiences at the Allstars with large groups...yes values do have them at certain times of the year... in all our POP (and one Music) stay, we have been fortunate to not have that experience. (FYI I do believe the Allstars get more of tour groups than POP, with mods even getting some as well.).

I swear we always got "lucky" to be there when the groups were swarming :headache: I figure if I can keep booking deluxes we wont have that problem anymore :p

I think that will be perfect for you! I cant seem to find any garden wing rooms available around my Jan/Feb dates, guess that it just isn't meant to be right now.

Glad DH made the decision for you ;) Sorry that DD is having such a hard time, hopefully it will get better in time :sad1:

Hope everyone is having a good day! Hi to all those I missed :wave2:

 Not a shock...ok Candace I'll try to act surprised ...how's that ;)

Honestly, that is a dream April trip for me!!!! Awesome!!! That would be so cool if you could keep it hush hush....I can only hold out for a week or so

Melissa

:lmao: about MIL

Melissa~I'm gonna recap Candace's trip plans for 7/2012....

BC ~ Poly, back and forth MANY MANY IMPRESSIVE TIMES....WL thrown in there a time or two...then finally WL CL!!! So she never really "felt" Poly or BC .....love that girl :goodvibes

(I am NOT even gonna try to catch you up on MY changes last year, I like ya way to much )

I am VERY happy with CR!!! CR never seems to open up until the 45 day window...so keep checking!!!

You ladies CRACK ME UP :lmao: But I honestly knew that is why I would fit right in :p I "think" I am set with no more changes for WL in Oct and CR in Dec, but our Jan/Feb trip is so up in the air I cant stand it :headache: I dont know dates (due to DH's audit), I dont know where (due to letting the kids chose), so I stand with a res at YC the last week of Jan, and res at WL the first week of Feb....and I keep peaking to see if CR garden wing opens up either of those weeks. Although I think after staying in the tower in Dec, DS wont hear of staying in the garden wing :sad2:

Oh and if my resistance to commit wasn't enough, EVERY day DD changes her mind if she wants her bday at Disney. I have YC booked for 2 nights (before the GV rooms sold out thankfully) just in case she does really want to go. And I will book CRT for her actual bday, knowing that I can cancel that too :confused3

I forgot to tell you all that yesterday I was just so drained and needed to get a bunch of reading in with the kids since DH didnt do it on Monday that we decided to sit in front of the laptop and take turns reading about WL :goodvibes We read about the history, the design, all sorts of neat stuff and it was a great opportunity to teach them new words like "serene" and "cavernous", I though I was quite brilliant for coming up with the idea :rotfl:

Hello to all. :goodvibes :wave2:

Sarah: Glad you're home safe and sound. And I'm also glad that dastardly laundry is all taken care of. (I'm still trying to recover from the Dirty Clothes Monster. ) Ooooh, I didn't realize you were so involved in swimming. I might bend your ear one of these days on advice for Miss M, if you don't mind?

Jen: Sorry about DD3! Poor thing. And poor momma, because we all know mommas get the short end of the stick in these deals... with the worrying and what-not. Hope her day goes better today.

Pas & Melissa: Thanks for the time-of-year opinions. The hubs' 40th is next year so I said if he didn't come up with a plan, I'd just take him back to Disney. :rotfl:

Candace: :lmao::lmao: ... I am so happy, you'll be back home! You know, since you mentioned you might not get to go again for a while, I'd be doing exactly as you're going to do. I'd want my "last trip for a while" to be at the place we love most. :thumbsup2 Oh, I forgot to add a CONGRATS to your DD on her part! Was she stoked when you told her?

-------------------

I'm all :crazy2: today since I've decided to sign Miss M up for Girl Scouts and her first meeting is tonight. (This is coming from a very introverted momma so all this socializing business is all new territory for me. :faint: ) And, there's family science at the school tonight that I decided we kinda had to do because of her daddy. :confused3 And I have to get her home and throw her in the washing machine before bed so she doesn't look like a street urchin for her school pictures tomorrow. Right now, I'm testing out our new coffee maker -- figured it might come in handy for all this running around. :coffee: :woohoo:

Thanks! The WL CL ressie just feels right. We all love it, and why mess with what's not broken, right??

DH was VERY happy when I told him! Still don't know if I'll be able to keep the secret from the little ladies!

Oh, and DD8 was super excited to find out she had gotten a part. I told her when we were pulling into our driveway that night and as soon as I put it in park she jumped out of the car and started doing a victory dance!!! And screaming the news to our neighbors...her 1st rehearsal is tonight from 6-8 :crazy2:

Question for KOOK or anyone else who can answer.....

How long should I allow for the boat ride from WL to FW, and also from CR to FW? We are heading over to TE for dinner in Oct and Dec as well as our sight seeing plans for Dec:)

JanetB: thanks for the vote....I have been intrigued by Pop ever since discovering your great FAQ thread!:thumbsup2. I am just waiting on AirTran to release May dates...I have a nice little credit that is itching to be used up! Any suggestions on nice locations at Pop? Is the 50's building a good one facing the lake?

Thanks Jen ... on FAQ #7 :hippie: Location, location .... hmmm, we did love bldg 3, we had a lake view end room 3160 ... nice and easy to either 50s or 60s pool ... in August we were in bldg 4 (60s) LOVE this location .. booking standard we were not facing the pool (good plan, especially on a couples only trip ... pool facing rooms are a "little" noisy. :))

Also, the 60s is the closest to the bridge to AoA, and it's nice and easy to walk over, you two will love to explore AoA, especially since the family suites will fit your family well and this might be an option for you down the road. :)

As Jeannette said, 70s is great to ... and you get the foosball men, a giant mickey and a big wheel for decor .... :cool1:

The standard studio at BW isn't a lot of points compared to the other villas...I know, I've checked ;) Pop is awesome too...JMHO

Thanks Jeanette!! As you know, lots of awesome peeps stay at POP! :flower3: Mickey waffles, tye-dye cheesecake, the KING .... :cool1:

I do like the sounds of Pop, and will we really be at the resort at night....or closing down the parks??:p I am thinking the last if we are without the kids.

Jen, look at it this way ... you can put the $$ into doing something totally different ...signature meals, the segway tour, perhaps a LaNouba show :)

Jen, hope DD3 day gets better ... that is so hard to see them cry...it will improve!

Janet: You forgot the number one KEY thing ... the KING! :worship:  I need that cupcake so bad; if they're sold out when we're there in January, I might throw a full-on, kicking-on-the-floor tantrum. :furious:

I personally would plan for an hour to be safe. The boats we found came less often than the buses...maybe a wait of up to 30 minutes, but then the ride to FW was no more than 10 minutes I don't think...same from FW to CR. :goodvibes
