She's so Unusual... And so talented!

Every once and a while I go on AOL's music site which is open to everyone even if you don't pay for AOL. The other day I was just scanning through the artists and found Cyndi Lauper. I always liked her and got to see her perform in Boston on the 4th of July a few years ago. Well not really see her, we were on the other side of the Charles River watching the concert on gigantic TV monitors.

Anyway, among her songs was a version of I'm gonna be strong. This was originally made popular by a guy named Gene Pitney. Oh my, he could really sing. But I am humbled by Ms. Lauper's version. While her voice might not appeal to everyone, her delivery should.

The video is amazing. Oh, and her version of "At Last" is pretty awesome too.

LOL, I actually have her latest CD in my car right now. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her. Years ago, I had the Blue Angel cassette with I'm gonna be strong on it.

Her newest remake of All Through the Night duet with Shaggy is really good, however, I don't care for her Time after Time Duet with Sarah Mclachlan. Both of their voices are just too strong and it is like they are fighting for the lead.

She's always been a big favorite of mine. We got to see her at a festival a few years ago and she sounded great.
