Don't get me wrong; I thought OKW was lovely! (We didn't eat cs there because there really isn't one... well, Goods to Go - but that is more like a pool bar. ) I think that was the problem; the resort was too big and you had to catch a bus to get anyway.
We were in Turtle Pond Bldg 39 which I did think was a great location...we essentially had the same view.
Interesting that our bedding was different.
Yeah I agree that since it is spaced out it can be a pain... I've just gotten used to it I suppose. But I really enjoy it when I go to a resort thats more condensed. I like everything. But yeah, if you're a CS person, OKW isn't the best choice.

Yeah I think this was a refurbed building. I don't know how the refurb process went so maybe some buildings were done and others weren't.

I have to agree with you about the reserving fast passes in the future, That is just 2 planned out for my taste. I liked hearing about some of the other parts of the Old Key West Resort, I have only been there once and we were just visiting some friends for one evening for about a couple of hours. I loved hearing about via napoli as well! We were going to try it on our last trip but we ended up not being able to get in there. All the food looks really good, I seriously have no idea what I would get!!!!!

OKW is beautiful! And Via Napoli was delicious! You should try and go on your next trip!! I would go with the flatbread... it's amazing

Boo to reserving fastpasses, There wouldn't be anytime to have fun running between ADRs and fastpass reservations. That pizza looks soo good. We have an adr for Via Napoli in Aug

I agree, Fastpass reservations would be awful. It's already hard enough planning out ADRs that far in advance because I change my mind all the time. I can't even imagine having to plan out exactly what time I'd want to go on each ride!
I'm not gonna say no to a Disney Bus ride! True story. If they're offering, I'm riding. I am lazy like that.

That is awesome that your villa was so close to the pool! We had a pool view room when we stayed at POP in December but it did us no good because it was WAY too cold to swim!
Ugh, I hope that's not true about reserving FPs! Sometimes Disney makes some weird changes. I didn't like when they got rid of the wristbands for EMH. It was so much easier to have the wristband on than to have to take our your KTTW everytime you want to go on a ride! 
Oh my, a $500 gift card to Disney?! 
When John and I got married we set up with the Disney Honeymoon Registry, and people ended up giving us a little over $700 towards our trip. We got it all on this really cute gift card that had Cinderella and Prince Charming on it. That was the coolest thing ever, because we didn't start using the cash we had brought for the trip until like the last day! The gift card paid for everything!

Love your report! We are DVC members and OKW is our home resort, so we do stay there at least once a year, but I have to say that your pictures are fantastic!
Also, you stated that at Conch Flats you could have recd a discount if you showed your APs? I never knew that!

DDP this summer but it isn't practical with us going to Universal for a whole day and arriving late but I've spoiled him with it but it will be nice to not have it for once but we will have Tables In Wonderland so we will save some $$ which is good!
